Bella's POV

After we went home, I finished packing, with Mikayla's help, of course.

After she went home, I drove to the airport for my flight, which is where I am now. I've been on the plane for 2 hours and 18 minutes, so just a few more minutes to go until I'm in Italy.

As I was reading, someone came on the speaker.

"We will be landing in a few minutes."

Finally! I've been sitting for way too long and I need to stretch.

I think in my head

~After landing~

After we landed, I looked for Sophia, one of my friends here from Italy, at the airport because she was supposed to pick me up and bring me to my old house.

Since my mom and dad were divorced, I lived with my mom and would only go to my dad's occasionally, mainly for holidays. That is, before my mom died, then I left to live with my dad. Now here I am at age 18 and moving back.

We didn't sell my mom's house because I asked my dad if it was okay if I moved back to her house when I got old enough.

After I searched for my Italian best friend, I finally found her in the crowd looking for me. I moved around from her view to try and scare her, so after I got behind her, I snuck up to her making sure she wouldn't see me and yelled 'BOO' and hugged her from behind.

She doesn't get scared easily but this really got her. She laughed and turned around.

"There you are! I was looking all over for you! I'm so glad to have you back!" her voice muffled since we were hugging still.

"Good to be back! I'm happy to know someone missed me."

"Of course I missed you! You left for 8 years!" she said emphasizing '8 years'.

"Yeah yeah, but I'm back now and I'm glad to be back. I missed you so much, can we get to my house now?"

"Of course"

We walked out of the airport and to her sleek, black jeep, which is new, so she must've gotten it recently.

When we got in it was comfortable silence that I broke by saying

"This a new car?"

"Yeah, you likey?"

"You bet I like it, Soph, but why is there an empty coffee cup on the floor?" I asked, holding it up.

"Oh, about that, I was just in a rush for something, but it was delicious."

And with that, we arrived at my house a few minutes later

We immediately got out and I rushed to get the front door key out, and as soon as I did, I rushed in like a mad man

Only to be disappointed at how everything looked. I knew it would look a little bit old since the last time I was here, it was 6 years ago, but I didn't think it would've been this bad

Everything was dusty and there was this weird smell, I could only imagine what upstairs would look like

As I walked around, I noticed everything was the same, it was just super dusty and smelly

"Well, guess who's helping meee?" I asked in a sing song voice

"Ugggghhh, why do I have to help? I am scheduled to get my nails done today."

"Well get them done when we're done with this. Wouldn't want to break a nail now would we?" I asked, winking at her with a smirk.

"Well, if we're cleaning, can we at least call Leonardo?"

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot that you two have a thing for each other."

"We do not! How many times do we have to tell you that?!"

"Whatever floats your boat Soph, but everyone can see it."

"Fine, whatever."

"But to answer your question, yes. Call Leo and tell him to bring lots of cleaning supplies."

"Yes ma'am." She salutes and walks off calling Leo.

As I take in my surroundings, I can hardly believe it's been so long since I've been here. I missed the times my mom and I would play games around the house like hide and seek, tag, simon says, and countless more. I had such a good time around my mom, but as I got older, I started to notice the beer bottles around the house and her, passed out on the couch. She would often work early in the morning and late at night just to pay the bills, and when she had enough money, only occasionally would she buy me a little toy, or a little dessert I would ask for after dinner one night. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Sophia came back.

"He's on his wa–hey what's wrong Bella?"

And it was only then did I realize the single tear that had escaped my eye.

"Only thinking about the past" I said and sniffled

She hugged me and rubbed my back

"It's ok, it's ok. It's in the past now. How about we wait for Leo, hm?"

"Ok, thank you Soph."

And we started talking about what she's been doing during the 6 years I was gone

Leo arrived not long after that and came bursting through the front door with all of the cleaning supplies almost falling out of his arms

"What's that smell?" He asks scrunching up his nose in disgust

"Seriously? That's your first question when your best friend of 10 years has just returned from England?" Sophia asks in a bored tone

"Oh hey I forgot about that!" He said coming up to me and hugging me

"Hey Bells, I missed you!" He said pulling back from the hug but with his hands still on my shoulders

"I missed you too Leo! Hope you didn't miss me too much." I said in a teasing tone

"Don't worry, I didn't miss your days of 24/7 sarcasm and teasing." He said sighing

"Of course you did, everyone misses that."

And just then Sophia cleared her throat

"I'm still here love birds, now let's get to cleaning. The sooner we start, the sooner we finish, and the sooner I get to eat." She says mumbling the last part to herself.

"Excuse me, but the only love birds here are you two." I said pointing my finger between them

"We are not!" They say at the same time and start blushing and looking away from each other

"You sure about that?" I say smirking

"Whatever, let's just get cleaning. Like Sophia I'm hungry." Leo says

"Yeah yeah, the more we talk the more time is being wasted." I say in a sing-song voice.

I put my playlist on shuffle and put it on the loudest setting so all of us could hear it, and lucky for us, we all like the same taste in music. I know, right? What're the odds? And we get to cleaning with me in my room, Sophia in the living room, and Leo in the kitchen.

After we were done cleaning, we decided it was time to be done since it was already in the evening, so we said our goodbyes and I went to get ready for bed. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, got in my pj's, and set my alarm for tomorrow because I would have to get a job to pay for living here. Luckily, tomorrow is Saturday.

I guess walking around a lot really made me tired because the moment my head hit the bed, I was already going to sleep.
