Bella's POV

I woke up at 6:30am today to try and look for jobs. I've had no luck so far, so here I am, at the last place that needed someone for a job. It's a little cafe a little ways down the street from the house. I looked down at the paper, and back up at the sign, and went in. The bell jingling signaling that someone has entered.

I go up to the counter and tell the girl there that I'm here for the interview. I follow her towards the back of the cafe and into a room with no windows and a table and two chairs in the middle I'm assuming for the interviews. I set my papers down and sit in one of the chairs.

Finally, a woman that has a name tag that says 'manager' and looks to be in her early 40's comes in

"You must be here for the interview, correct?" She asks in a soft tone

"Yes, I am Bella Ventini, nice to finally meet you. And you are the manager I'm assuming?"

"Yes, I am Aria Spencer, I am the manager here. Now, let's get started shall we?"

~After the interview~

"Thank you so much, I can't wait to work here."

"No problem! You start tomorrow at 6:30am if that works for you."

"Yeah, that works for me, I'll see you tomorrow!"

I walked out of the cafe and to my house.

After I got to my house I decided to do some more cleaning, so I got the cleaning supplies out and started cleaning the bathroom upstairs.

I started with the floor, then the sink, then the shower, then the walls. I thought I should be done for today since I do have to wake up at 6 in the morning to be at work on time and it's already 9 at night, so I take a shower, brush my teeth, get in my pj's, take the towel off my head, and get in bed.

I get up to turn my alarm off, that's telling me to get up and get dressed in simple jeans and a shirt and head to work.

When I got there, I clock in and get an apron. As I put it on, a girl comes up to me and shows me everything. The register, the closet with a broom and a mop and a bucket in it, and the locker rooms. As she was taking back to the front, someone came in and asked me to take the customer.

After my shift, it is currently 4 in the afternoon, I clocked out and went to the locker room to put my apron in my locker. As I was leaving, I bumped into someone.

"Hey! Watch where you're going newbie!" Some blonde girl with an obvious nose job said

"Sorry, I didn't see you." I said with no emotion in my voice

"You better be. This shirt costs 5,000 euros so if you break it you buy it." She said with a sassy tone

"Yeah, well I have to go." I said pushing past her

"Hey!" She yelled grabbing my wrist to stop me from walking any further

"You don't get to walk away from me like that! Especially with that attitude!" She snarled, gripping my wrist harder

I wanted to wince from how hard her hand was gripping my wrist, but I didn't need to let her know that she was hurting me

"What even is your name, newbie?" She spat

"What's your name?" I countered back

"Why should I tell you" She asked disgustingly

"Exactly. You shouldn't, just like I shouldn't tell you." I said matter-of-factly

Just then, she pulled me into the locker room and pushed me against the wall

"Listen here newbie, you don't get to talk to me like that because I am better than you..." She smirked, "...and more experienced in more ways than one, so don't get in my way because, you. Will. Regret it." She said, spit going onto my face from how harshly she was speaking, and then she pulled away and walked out of the door without another word.

As I walked out too, I rubbed my wrist, which was definitely going to get a bruise, and walked straight home, but as I was walking down my sidewalk, I glanced around my small town and noticed someone familiar but didn't think much of it. Maybe they just had one of those faces.
