Nicolo's POV

I woke up at 9:46 today and immediately smelled eggs, bacon, and probably something else, but I'm too tired to figure it out.

I rubbed my eyes and stretched to try and wake myself up. I then went downstairs to see Bella dancing to a song that's playing on her phone and serving breakfast to two plates. I guess she is still Bella in there. I leaned against the doorway to watch her as she put the skillet back on the stove and went to the fridge and got out a strawberry container and started getting the stem out.

It was exactly after she had prepared the strawberries that she had noticed I was there. She immediately froze and her eyes went straight to my abdomen. She then trailed her eyes up my body and finally to my eyes.

"If you want you can touch my abs. No need to gawk at them when you can just ask." I said

She immediately shut her mouth, that was agape, and her shocked face soon turned into an annoyed one. She rolled her eyes and scoffed and got back to putting the strawberries into two bowls.

"I make you breakfast and you're already being cocky?" She asks in disbelief

"Yeah, got to get practice for the day." I said, shrugging my shoulders.

"Yeah right"

"Anyway, you can go ahead and eat. I'll be there in a second." She said, doing something on her phone.

I sat down and immediately started eating, I hadn't realized how hungry I was until I started eating. Her cooking was amazing. It had just the right amount of seasoning and everything tasted like it had been made with the right amount of time.

I tried to slow down since she was still on her phone but it was hard when she was an amazing cook.

It seemed like there was a problem because her eyebrows furrowed and her jaw clenched slightly. I looked at her with concern and when she looked up she seemed to realize I was here still so she put her phone down and came to sit beside me.

"Was everything ok?" I asked, my voice laced with concern.

"...O-oh it's nothing."She said with a slight smile, but I could tell she was lying. She was never a good liar. I just wanted to know what was making her troubled. It seemed kinda serious.

After we finished, she took our plates even though I insisted I would take them, but she won and started washing them while I went upstairs to get dressed. My lip had gotten much better since last night, so much so that I could even smile. And that is just what I did when I thought about her making breakfast for me, but it slowly faded when I realized she had been upset about something on her phone. That didn't make me so happy.

When I was done getting dressed, I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in" I said, getting ready to put my shoes on

"Hi, I was just telling you that Zach's here." She said in a low yet confused voice, almost like she was trying to comprehend that he knew where she lived. Idiot, why would you let her know we know where she lives?

"Ok"

She then left and I heard her retreating steps go back down the hallway.

She probably doesn't have work today because if she did, she would've been gone at 6:30 since the cafe she works at is up pretty early.

When I was done, I went downstairs to see a very amusing sight.

Bella and Zach were sitting opposite each other and having a stare down. She looked like she was about to explode with anger and he looked at her happily as if he'd won a bickering contest.
