*Amir's POV*
The scene below was devastating. My stomach dropped and I felt chills run through me including my wings.
Bodies were strewn all over, buildings destroyed...then my brain stopped for a second. I saw it. Or more like...her. I saw that violet hair, and I gasped in disbelief.
That's the girl from the store. Rhaan vocalized.

"Witch." the Wielders behind me gasped.
Qasim whistled. "We haven't seen one of those around for a while."
"Those things still exist?" I narrowed my eyes at Diamanda's comment.
"One of those 'things' are currently protecting our people so shut your sly tongue up before it's sliced off." Hazel hissed out.
I held in the laugh at how cruel she sounded. But one glance at her had me cocking my head in confusion.
She looks too determined. It's like she's expecting something.
"Move in!" I shouted.
"Wait sire! Look!"
I looked west and my blood boiled over. A horde was headed the city's way. A horde that belonged...to a dark agency.
My control snapped.
Amir! Focus, don't let him control you!
Oh, NOW you decide to help?!
I was shoved to the back of my mind and could only watch as the demon took over. Swooping down towards the horde regardless of everyone else shouting for me.
"HEAD TOWARDS THE TOWN! HELP THOSE PEOPLE!" I screamed as the last of my control slipped.

*Serene's POV*
I wanted to cover my ears from the piercing sound of the scream. Then in the corner of my eye, I saw something...no...someone, a man, a man with black wings and razor sharp and fangs swoop down towards the horde.
Is that...is that the prince...
My thoughts were cut short by the screams behind me accompanied by loud pounding. I glanced up and saw golems and goblins climbing the shield and pounding on it to break it. With each pound I felt my energy leave me, but I kept it up. I couldn't fail. I couldn't fail these people.
I groaned as I got to my feet. "STÄRKEN!"
Suddenly I saw a flash of red and gold. The colours of what I was told was the Royal Senate.
About goddamn time.
"Rene!" mom came running up to me. Worry filled her eyes when she saw the extreme pain on my face. "Sweetheart stop that's enough."
I gritted my teeth and shook my head as tears ran down my face while fighting through the pain.
"She's right." a new voice chimed in.
I jumped slightly as a girl walked in front of me. A girl who was not inside the shield before I cast it.
"How did you..." that's when I noticed her attire. Red and gold. Okay, I see.
She smiled slightly. "I'm sorry if I startled you. My name's Hazel. And your mother's right Serene."
