Chapter 18- Coming For Her

*Serene's POV*

I got a sense of deja vu as I was taken from my cell and carried into another room and chained standing up with my hands stretched to the ceiling. I hadn't been sexually assualted just yet so I thought it was going to be just like last time, so I braced myself for it.

I was shocked to find it was a relatively empty room just filled with Lyon, his sister, and ministers as they stared lewdly at my half naked state. I looked to the middle of the room and saw there was a communications crystal set and ready ready and my eyes narrowed as I tried to figure out what they were planning.

Lyon stepped in front of me and leaned down. "You know, I've been thinking. I've been pretty unfair haven't I?" he started wistfully while walking around my chained up body. I bristled as he ran his finger up and down my back. "I mean...I've gotten my revenge on Kassim, afterall, I have his daughter...but there was another man who was just as responsible for what happened to my family."

I looked him in the eye. What was he planning?

"So!" he continued with an insane look in his eye. "I have Kassim's daughter...it's only fair that I have Mirza's son as well. Don't you agree?" he asked gleefully. My breath hitched. "Let's give that prince..oh...sorry...let's give that King of yours a call. Shall we?"

He pressed a button and made sure I was in front of the crystal. Few minutes later they came into view.

"Ah! King of Asnuelia! How're you doing today sir?!" he asked smiling ear to ear.

*Amir's POV*

I fought the growl attempting to erupt from my throat when I saw the state she was in. I felt my blood boil as I was her chained up to the ceiling, half naked and shivering. Gasps were heard all around me and it was only then that I remembered I was surrounded by my Senate and the village people in the central square. Amir, Issa and my sister had murderous gazes on their faces. As did the crowd.

Within one hour, I'd found out most of what I needed to from the prisoner we'd taken in. He'd identified all the traitors, they were taken in, questioned, then they were publicly executed. It was then that I told the people EVERYTHING. From Diamanda's...or Aurelie's betrayal, to the threat that lurked around our borders, to Serene's sacrifice. The major problem was that we didn't know where the drug was being stored. They were livid. They wanted blood. Mayuda had made themselves enemies to us, enemies that were going to lose their lives.

"Oh I see we have an audience! Lovely!" I was brought back by seeing Lyon grabbing her and dragging her forward. "I have something that I think used to belong to you." he yanked her head up. My hands twitched as I felt my claws fighting to burst through. Growls were heard all around me.

"You've made a grave mistake Lyon!" I could feel Jahid squirming to get free.

He threw his head back and laughed. "Have I? Cause I just so happen to have a proposition for you." he said sinisterly. The crowd hugely objected. "You can have her back," they quieted down in shock. "In exchange for your life." he said in a clippy tone. I clenched my hands then looked at Serene. She'd had yet to raise her head but I vaguely saw her clenching her hands.

"C'mon now Amir. I know you know a good deal when you hear one." he was saying smugly.

My family was looking at me with lost looks in their eyes, while I looked around at the people, seriously contemplating his offer.

Someone grabbed my arm. I turned to see Serene's mother, Selena, with a furious glint in her eyes behind the unshed tears. I knew it was killing her to see her daughter like that.
