Chapter 21

*Amir's POV*

No. I watched the blade...coated with the poison...pierce her body.

No. My body. screamed..as I caught her. Not wanting to believe what was happening.

No! I screamed her name. Telling her to stay awake...to stay with me...

NO! I felt my control ripped from me. And this time...I didn't care.

His head was off of his body before anyone could blink. I stomped on it and reveled as the blood and flesh flew everywhere. I knew I was going rogue...and I didn't even try to stop it.

But then I felt something. Something attempting to slip it's way in but Jahid resisted it. It persisted.

Amir. I heard a faint whisper but ignored it. It did sound familiar though.

Amir! Ugh there it is again...

AMIR! I was brought back.

Rhaan? What...?

Not important right now. I can still hear her heartbeat. The drug hasn't made its way to her heart just yet.

I slowly started walking back towards her body that was turning paler by the minute.

So what do we do? Is there something we can do? The Infinity Drug has no cure.

We mark her.

What?

If we mark her, we save her. We could try sucking out the poison but that puts us at risk. We would die as soon as it touched our tongue.

But wouldn't marking her have the same effect?

Not if it's all three of us. Rhaan and I were stunned.

Jahid? Is that you?

It is. I could've basically spoken to you the entire time I've been with you but specifically chose not to. No time to explain, we need to save her. I absolutely refuse to lose her.

I picked up her limp body, the crowd wondering what I was going to do.

So we mark her? All three of us? How would that even work?

You let me handle that.

Then I felt a shift. Like a merge was happening. All three souls, that resided in this one body, came together. I heard the gasps and astonished exclamations as I shuddered to think what I looked like. But I didn't care.

I brought her closer to me and nuzzled my face in her neck breathing in her scent.

"I'll see that pretty smile of yours soon, my precious queen."

Then...right then and there, in front of all who dared witness...all three beings, residing in this one body...we sank our teeth into her neck.

We instantly knew when the connection was made. When the loose ends were tied together.

A bond was created.

~~~~~~
Two months.
She's been asleep for two months, and I've slowly been going crazy.
While the drug was stopped, it had already begun attacking her nervous system, so the repair needed to start from there. And it was going to be slow progress. Hazel visits her everyday to help her healing process along.
