For being abducted in plain sight by a group of amatuers but still, well vampires, he seemed to be surprisingly calm. He was glaring down each and every one of them and it was clear that he wasn't afraid at all. But why.

Did he not read or see the news? Does he not know what a vampire is capable of? Here I thought just saying I'm a vampire myself would be enough.. clearly not.

I suppose I would have to demonstrate just how cruel vampires can be.

YOONA POV

I clutched the bracelet in my hand, feeling for the trigger as I saw some shadows moving behind the alley, past the vampires and Yeonjun and that was it.

That's the cue.

The vampire faced his back at me as I crouched by the wall, while he was staring and trying to elicit a reaction from Yeonjun. He wouldn't give them crap. Staring up at them solemnly, almost glaring.

Pulling the trigger a tiny blade shot out and into his leg. No reaction.

I pulled myself back with my back against the wall, only able to hear them. And there it was. The awaited commotion.

Thud.

The vampires yelled out in panic, enraged. They were looking around, thrashing the place. They were walking around, kicking the cardboard boxes, looking into the windows of the apartment buildings on either sides. I could hear one of them closing in as I quickly took my form, eyes turning black blood-red pupils. I could feel myself getting stronger as I heard a loud shot ringing in the air.

It was time.

I pulled out my mask from my pocket and pulled up my hood. Darkness was starting to fade, and the sun would soon rise. I had to get this done, quick, while we still had the cover of nightfall.

By getting rid of the bandage on my leg and sheathing the claw-like nails after shoving the bandage into my pocket, I did my part to fight as hard as I could with the still injured leg. It had started to heal up, but it still hurt like a bitch.

It was a relief Bang Chan and I.N were still nearby.

With their weapons, it was nearly effortless to get rid of them all. I pounced on the last of them, digging my nails into his shoulder blades and dragging them all the way to his neck, all the while he was screaming and trying frantically to reach me with his own claw-like nails as I dodged.

My nails soon dragged onto his neck as I dug deeper, slashing his throat. He fell to the ground as I let go of him. Surprisingly, I fell onto him too. Noticing that his nail was stuck on my mask, without much thought, I just took it off to pry it off of his nail as soon as possible.

I could hear an audible gasp. The moment I realized, my eyes widened slightly. I didn't dare to look in the direction of the sound, knowing already I fucked up. Hoping that my hood and the darkness was enough to cover my face, I snatched my mask again, the sound ringing in my ear.

Yeonjun.

How did I forget he was still here? As I got up to leave, I took a quick glance, covering my face except my eyes to look behind Yeonjun to see Bang Chan and I.N, weapons ready as I signaled them not to take action. Despite their confusion, they listened and backed off, soon disappearing back to where they came from.

Run.

Was my first thought. And contradicting my initial plan, I did just that. One glance at Yeonjun's confused yet shocked face, I ran away, fast. Just in enough distance for me, I took my mask and hood off, throwing it away as I shoved the mask in my pocket. I pulled the bandage out from the other pocket as I quickly wrapped it around my leg and securing it. Looking around, I figured out a way and ran back to where Yeonjun would be, entering from the opposite side of the alley from where I was originally.

"Yeonjun? Yeonjun! Oh my fucking god, are you okay?"

I ran towards him, yelling. He flinched turning his neck as best as he could to get a look at me coming from behind him. For being muffled, he still tried to talk back to me. Panicked.

Perfect.

I thought.

I quickly untied him, getting the cloth tied around his mouth untied as well, his arms later. Just when I was about to help him get up from the ground, he wrapped me up in a bit too tight of a bear hug.

I could feel his heart practically pounding out of his chest, I could hear it.

Was he really that scared?

"Yeonj-"

"I'm so happy you're fine."

What.

"I'm s-so fucking happy you're fine, Haiyu, I w-was so scared t-they did something to y-you"

Damp. I could feel my shoulder getting damp, his breathing was uneven. Hiccups. He was crying. He was hurt. Physically, yeah. But he was also hurt from the inside. He was hurting so badly. But.. why?

Why does it affect you? Where I've been, what happened to me, why do you care?

More importantly..

Why does it affect me?

Why does it affect me if you're hurting?

The sun was up now, the rays were starting to fill out in the alley too. Time was passing so fast. Yet, none of us made a single motion to part. None of us moved as we just sat there, wrapped around each other. Everything was so quiet. I could hear him breaking apart like a child. It hurts.

He was crying so much. I let him.

He was holding me so tight, as if he thought that if he let go, I'd vanish. So I let him.

He was hurting. I didn't want to let him. But I couldn't do anything.

My vision started blurring, unknown to me. On instinct, my arms fell from where they originally were on Yeonjun. Not even a second later, I pulled my arms back up, and wrapped them around him softly as if he was just so fragile.

As soon as I did so, I felt my cheeks get wet. The blurriness in my vision was gone as I closed my eyes and hugged him a bit tighter, clutching the cloth that was keeping his mouth shut harder.

I shook my head as I heard Yeonjun speak again.

"I- I'm so sorry, Haiyu."
