Chapter 3: Base

'You okay, Hyejin?' Soobin asked the girl, who was supposedly Hyejin. She just nodded, as she put her hand onto her waist, covering one of the wounds with her palm as she got up and took off her palm from there, her pale, whitish palm, now covered in black fluid. 'I'm fine, I guess' She replied, with no interest. She walked over to Soobin and Beomgyu.

'Let's get home, we'll treat you there.' Beomgyu said as Hyejin just nodded. Hyejin covered the black fluid's dampness on her sweatshirt with her sleeves, as the sweatshirt had holes in it, also the black liquid wouldn't stop flowing.

'We need to make a stop at a human hospital first.' She said, blankly as she led the way and Soobin and Beomgyu followed. Hyejin pushed some of her hair back, and pulled her hood back onto her head, as the hair she tucked behind fell out again, covering one of her bright red eyes. Soobin and Beomgyu made sure of this too. Soon Soobin, Beomgyu, and Hyejin were walking together, to a human hospital, for something..

Soon..at the Hospital-

Soobin, Beomgyu, and Hyejin walked together, keeping their hood down to cover their eyes in the least suspicious way possible, with their masks as well. They walked through the open parking lot, and they walked fast to get in and get out f there as soon as possible. Hyejin held her waist, to stop the black fluid from coming out even more, as she winced and shut her eyes close in pain. She opened them again, as she walked into the huge hospital with Soobin and Beomgyu by her side.

'Who was the guy. How did you end up there?' Beomgyu asked Hyemin carefully through his mask, as his now bright red eyes darted here and there, Hyejin lifted her eyes from the ground too. 'We'll talk about this at the base. First, we need to get what we need. Get in and get out, got it Beomgyu?'Hyejin asked the newly turned vampire, as he nodded subtly. They walked through the huge lobby of the Hospital and were now walking down the halls of the hospital. Doctors and nurses kept walking by, and each time they did, the color of the vampires' eyes kept changing. Light to dark to dull to bright, with each human that passed by them.

Hyejin clenched her fists into balls, her nails digging into the wounds of her already wounded waist, as she winced, realizing what she had done. Black fluid flowed again, as she quickly covered it up with her palm. Soobin clenched and unclenched his finger, cracking them again and again with his thumb, as he pressed down his index finger until a loud crack came, he moved to the next and the same. Beomgyu clenched his jaw, trying to prevent himself from going out of control.

They all lowered their heads even more, as they walked faster. They looked here and there at each room. 'Emergency room, observation room, chemist room...FINALLY' Soobin thought, as he grabbed both Beomgyu and Hyejin's attention by nudging them both.

They both looked at him, as he subtly jerked his head towards a room. The two look at the tag above the room..that's it. Soobin looked right and left to make sure there was no one there, as he quickly slipped into the room along with Beomgyu and Hyejin. They didn't need to fear security cameras, they wouldn't visible on it anyways. Once they got in, it was pure bliss. Euphoria, as you may call it too. The trio had the crazy look in their red eyes, seeing the sight in front of them. Blood bank.

They looked at all the blood packets in there, of all types, all kinds. They were about to go mad. The trio still managed to keep their sanity though, as they grabbed as many as they could, of all kinds. They hid it in their clothing so well, it should've been a skill. By the time they walked out, half the massive room was empty. Beomgyu peaked out, and saw nobody there, as they got out quickly and went. The smell of that pure, sweet, unharmed, untouched, and intoxicated blood was driving them all crazy little by little. That smell was just something else.

All three came out back into the huge lobby, as they walked out of there as quick as they could've. As soon as they got out, they ran faster than light to get to the base. They made sure nobody saw them though, and nobody did. The trio was starting to grow insane. Hyejin held her waist as more of the black fluid started to flow out uncontrollably. Their eyes were red, their whites became black, as their eyes turned bright red, a symptom of extreme hunger and madness, only known to fellow vampires. Once they reached their base, they got in, no checking, knowing there can't be anyone to spy on them anyway, considering it was literally an abandoned hut-looking thing, in the middle of absolutely nowhere of a forest. No satellite could track it down, and if a human managed to find it, well they're just -1000 in luck, considering it'll have to be their last day alive.

The trio got in and sealed off the hut with a bamboo-made thing, big enough to cover the door. Once they did, Hyejin sat on the ground, her head was thrown back from the pain in her waist, as she still held onto it. Soobin was also exhausted, trying to keep his monster inside from coming out, as Beomgyu was on the verge to go insane.

'Now you understand how hard it is to control our hunger.' Soobin said as Hyejin gasped for air. Soobin clutched onto his chest, as his hand went up to his throat, and he grabbed it. His hand went to the back of his neck, as he grasped it firmly and went to a side of the hut. He pulled away from the hay that was in a corner, and there was a tiny button, which he clicked. Soon the ground began shaking a little, as Soobin covered the little button with hay again.

'Hey, get up.' He said to Hyejin who was now groaning and moaning in pain that was on her waist. She held onto it tightly, but more of that black fluid flowed out. She moaned in pain again, as she opened her eyes, bright red pupils and pitch-black what used to be whites. 

She gasped for air, as did Beomgyu, who was struggling to keep his hunger under control. The ground stopped shaking, as a ray of bright light was shot out from the floor. The whole inside flooring of the hut, began to sink, as the outer structure of hay of the hut was remaining at the top. 

Beomgyu was in struggle for his hunger, as he began squirming on the floor and the veins in his hands and neck could be seen clearly. He kept breathing heavily. Soobin was on his knees, with one of his hands on the floor, supporting him as his other hand was on the side of his neck, grasping it tightly. Hyejin was in pure pain. Not only was the hunger driving her crazy, but she had a wound in her waist. Many wounds actually. And since they were done with what was silver, they wouldn't heal on their own, even if she drank. 'Ahhhh. That..bloody..bastard.' Hyejin cursed at the red-headed guy who was there earlier and who attacked her, groaning in pain at each word.

The floor kept going down and down, and what was 5 seconds seemed like 5 hours. Once they reached their base..

All three of them were on the floor, on their fours, struggling to breathe because of their immense hunger and thirst for blood. Once they reached the bottom, they were greeted by the huge underground base theirs. They had it underground so that they would be shielded away from the sun and its light. The sun's rays had an effect on vampires, and it was not sparkling or turning into dust. Those were the older times when that used to be the case. Now to blend in with humans more, Vampires had made a vaccine for themselves, which allowed neither of the effects, though the UV rays still affected the vampires, as in every time they go out in the sun unprotected by a layer of clothing, they would become weak.

Once they were all on the bottom, a sound of hissing or rather pressure was heard, as everyone there turned to the doorless, advanced-than humankind, elevator, to see Soobin, Beomgyu, and Hyejin on its floor, having difficulty breathing. There were really only two people there, but as soon as the two noticed the other three, they stopped what they were doing, as they ran to them.

'Hyejin! Beomgyu! What the hell happened to you!? Soobin?' Called a female voice as footsteps were heard running. 'Yo, Soobin! Hyejin and Beomgyu what the fuck!?' A male voice called.

'Yoona..' Hyejin called out in a groggy voice. 'Dawon..Yoona..close the entrance..and...ugh, call them for Hyejin.. I'll ugh, take care of Beomgyu..' Soobin said in an also groggy voice, as he abruptly opened his red and black eyes. Beomgyu kept gasping, struggling to keep his monster in. Beomgyu was still new at this all, he was a turned vampire after all. Yoona then spoke again. 'I'll call them.'
