~~Lina's P.O.V ~~

My heart is full, the feeling of happiness washing over me. I didn't expect him to have such a sweet speech, of course I saw this coming just a smidg but when he said all those wonderful things it felt so new.. exciting but not caused by danger unless you count the dangers of heart ache. "There you are." Jeanine chirps coming into the star gazing room catching me mid hit "honey if you think I didn't smell it on you the night we met you're crazy." I blow out the smoke giving her a small smile "give your mother in law a hit." She jokes putting out her hand shocking me but I quickly oblige handing her the lit blunt watching her take a long drag holding in the smoke like a pro. "What my son doesn't know won't hurt him this once." She winks handing it back to me with a chuckle. "You know what he did just now is really big." She says eyeing me carefully before continuing "when a Don takes a knee in front of his family it's almost as if he's saying that he's giving you control."

I slowly nod passing her the blunt "what do you mean by control?" She hits the blunt thinking for a moment before answering "so the Don has all control over our family and our Mafia so when he kneels before his queen he's saying that this is the women who has stolen his power, she owns him in many different ways, and finally it symbolizes respect for the new queen; the Don kneels to her as does everyone else." I put out the blunt on the bottom of my heal before placing it behind my ear "if you don't mind me asking, why aren't you the Don or the queen?" She gives me a warm smile before turning her gaze to the stars "I can be ruthless and I can deal with business but I don't want to sit on the throne alone, it's just too lonely for me." She takes my hand in hers examining the ring watching it shine in the light "my son really did it." She scoffs in disbelief before setting my hand back down "you two are going to make a lovely king and queen all I ask is that you remain loyal and take care of my son."

I nod staring at my ring still feeling butterflies ruffling in my stomach "I'm going to protect him with everything I got." I murmur smiling at her with a small knock interrupting "neonata?" Nicoli calls "in here handsome." I pipe watching the door open wide revealing my sexy Fiancé "Ah so my mother stole you this time." He says with a wide smile locking his gaze on mine sending heat rushing to my cheeks "That look Is the same look your father use to give me." His mom chirps before standing up flashing me a small wink "you two enjoy yourselves." She calls walking off leaving us alone in the dimly lit room. "Escaping my family?" He chuckles taking the seat his mom occupied before "kind of but I was also just smoking a blunt so there's that." He leans over snagging the blunt from my ear quickly lighting it with ease. "Well how about I enjoy it with you?" He puts the blunt to his lips taking a long drag; the sight soaking my panties "stop looking at me like that." He warns taking another hit before passing it to me "don't look so good and I won't look at you like that." I smirk

"Just wait neonata, when we get home I'm ripping that dress clean off and fucking you up against every wall and surface of the room "his words freeze me in a daze for a moment, I hit the blunt passing it back to him. "Can I ask you something?" He humms taking the last hit before putting out the blunt "well your mom said that the fact that you took a knee tonight is big.. is that true?" He nods scooting closer to me "Lina you are the queen now and once we're married you'll have full power just like I do but you have a little more because you also have power over me." He whispers pushing a hair behind my ear "You don't like that I did it?" I shake my head crawling onto his lap taking a seat "I am so happy you did I just don't want you to regret it." I murmur feeling a bit anxious so high on a pedestal, his smile widens as his hand lands on my cheek caressing it with his thumb "Lina.. you make me feel weird." He chuckles, an amused smile finds its way to my lips.
