Amei brushed down her plaid skirt, before practically leaping down the staircase.

She rushed to her creative room, Lilac, her dog, trailing behind, ever so curious.

She opened the heavy door, her gaze sweeping past the grand piano, her microphone, her oven and supplies, then last but not least, her art corner.

She quickly set everything up, gently nudging Lilac away from the paint, "Down, sweetheart. I wouldn't want any paint to get on your beautiful white canvas of fur."

"Arf!" eagerly, Lilac wagged her tail, waiting for pets.

Amei smiled, "Fine. I give."

She pet her before moving her attention back to the blank canvas.

"Let's hurry and start on this before Father gets back, hm?"

Lilac rested on Amei's feet, giving a yawn as her eyes shut.

"Go ahead and nap, I'll be quiet." She grabbed a pencil.

Amei never knew why she liked to paint among other things she did.

Every time she tried to distance herself from such childish things, she always got brought back.

She grumbled and placed the pencil down, digging into her cardigan pocket to find two hair clips for the hair getting in her way.

"I always forget."

She faintly sketches an idea she had for Ranka, erasing mistakes after the rough sketch.

"I think they'd both like this." Amei grins, "I need to make sure I get it perfect..."

*Beep* *Beep*

Amei furrowed her brows, taking out her phone and flipping it open, only to groan, "Oh, dear."

2 new texts:

hi Senpai this is Hikaru!

hi Senpai this is Kaoru!

How in the world did you get my number?

Apparently, the twins were identical even in text. And they told her they peeked over Kyoya's shoulder.

In between beginning to paint, she juggled conversations with them.

Though it wasn't very entertaining, considering their speech wasn't much different, so she'd just be typing the same thing.

After the blue background, she began on the white.

Her humming carried the peaceful mood of the room until the door shattered it.

"Amei—You're painting again?"

Amei scrambled to put down the paintbrush, her body jolting, waking Lilac in a startle.

"I-I'm—"

"Amei, when are you going to stop with this? Singing, painting, with your mediocre skill? Stick to what you know you're good at. Like your baking, you could be even better than me and start a business. You know your sister—"

"Started a business at a younger age than I, I know..." Amei sighed.

He crossed his arms, "I don't understand why you can't just be like your sister. Instead of wasting precious time on things that won't guarantee you a successful life."

Amei tugged on her skirt, timidly making eye contact, "I'm just trying something different..."

"Instead of doing something different. Do something secure. My side of the family has been baking for almost a century. Your mother's paternal side has been making weaponry since the Kamakura period, and her maternal side has been making technology for over seventy years, as well as martial arts teaching for centuries. You have our family names to back you, why risk success over silly ways to spend time?"
