The crowd was going wild, lights shining down on the court...

A twin dribbled the ball, leaping up to make a jump shot as sweat trailed down his face, falling like stars.

The ball went in with a crisp 'Swish'.

The cheers got even louder as girls squealed at the impressive play.

He cheered in victory, jogging across the court, but something made him stop in his tracks.

His brother had fallen to the ground, loosely curled in on himself.

"Get a stretcher! Take him to the infirmary, quick!" Someone barked out.

The team crowded around him, his brother pushing to get to him.

He crouched down to him, crying out desperately "Kaoru! Kaoru!"

A hand gently held his shoulder, "Hikaru-kun, you can't. Get back in the game."

Hikaru shrugged it away, "Shut up!"

"Hikaru..." Kaoru called weakly from the stretcher.

He quickly turned to his injured brother.

"Hikaru, take it easy. You can't go trying to feel my pain." He reached up, cupping his cheek, "Understand? You're not the one who got hurt."

Hikaru started to tear up, clasping Kaoru's hand in both of his, "It's no use. It hurts. It hurts, Kaoru!"

'Your pain is my pain. It doesn't matter if no one else understands. As long as we're both there for each other, we can go on living.' A voice narrated.

The screen switched scenes, showing a lonely boy in the rain.

"I envy you two..."

The twins were suddenly in the rain with him a few paces away on the ground.

"Being able to support each other like that..."

"Suoh-senpai..."

"But Suoh-senpai, you're the academy's idol."

He looked down sadly with a sigh, "An idol, am I?" He ran a hand through his hair, flicking away water as he opened his eyes, gaze full of despair. "If people are going to celebrate me over a superficial title like that, then I'm sure to be better off alone."

He was silent then, letting the rain caress him.

'One injured heart intersects with another. They pass by each other, and wound each other. What are the hearts of these young men made of?'

The scene changed to a boy running, breathless. He made it to a tree, gripping it tightly as he gasped for air.

"You can't run away any longer," a youthful voice said.

The boy turned around, gasping and pressing himself into the bark, sliding to sit helplessly against it.

"You're going to learn what happens when you go against me," the owner of the voice stepped closer.

The taller of the two glanced at him, "Don't, Mitsukuni. Every time you hurt others, you're the one who ends up being hurt."

The rain trailed from Mitsukuni's wet hair that covered his face, "Don't try to give me advice, Takashi. You want me to put you over my knee again?"

'Will it be the light of salvation that ultimately awaits them? Or something else?'

Mitsukuni looked up with a smug look at Haruhi, "I hate it when people try to rise above their own station in life."
