The sound of a familiar yet unwelcome ringing pried Aaliyah from her slumber, eyes shut and body heavy as she tried to locate the source of the intruding noise.

The gitl opened her eyes a little, the bedroom she remember having fallen asleep in only hours ago basked in nothing but darkness and the slightest inch of moonlight that was flickering in through the closed windows.

It took all liyah had to raise her head from the fluffy pillow, the softness of the material acting as a magnet to her sleep flushed cheeks. She turned around to face the nightstand where the intrucing sound was still blaring from starting a blind search for the phone.

"Liyah..." Kidada groans in her sleepy stupor, turning to face her best friend. "If you don't answer that phone I'm going to hurt you."

"Foreal. I don't know why you didn't put it on vibrate." Her other best friend, Nicole, adds on throwing a pillow at the singer missing by just a few inches.

"I know you two aren't complaining after keeping me up all last night chatting away on the phone with Pac. Knowing damn well I had rehearsals the next morning." She argues back, stretching her long limbs out, to exhausted to even do that.

"Now you and I both know once Pac starts running his mouth he can't ever shut up." Nicole replies, seeing as Kidada had apparently slipped back into her peaceful slumber, snoring away.

"Tell me about it."

"Anyways this ain't about that. Who calling you at two am in the morning?"

"The hell if I know. It could be my uncle, lord knows he never respects my wishes to have all my appointments pushed to the afternoon." She sighs, running her hands down her face.

"Ooo! What if it's Jay? You know he's been trying to reach you since that roc party last weekend." Nicole grins, clasping her hands together.

Rustling was soon heard, as kidada squirmed about on her bed, tossing the covers off from above her head sitting up a bit staring at the gossiping girls. "Jay who? I know yall aren't talking about my man Jay-Z." Kidada warns, looking between the two, rubbing her eyes. Nicole frowns eyeing the girl, scratching her head in confusion.

"Were you not just asleep kid?"

"It's called resting your eyes Liyah." She deadpanned.

"Are you going to answer that phone or what?" Nicole prides, watching the star, as Liyah rolled her eyes.

She felt around her bed once again, still in search for the device, which had finally stopped buzzing for the moment. Her hand slips over her book before it soon landed on the vibrating phone next to it. Though Nicole was quicker, grabbing for it as soon as it popped up in her eyesight.
