You silently watch the time pass by as you moved about the now quiet classroom giving you a false sense of serenity if only just for a few moments you could only pretend you're elsewhere, that is until a group of angsty hormonal class of ninth grade students come pouring back in from their way to short of a lunch break, diminishing you of any sort of peacefulness for the next three hours and fifteen minutes you have left with the rowdy bunch of young acne prone teens. It came with your profession so you couldn't complain to much they weren't as bad as the class of fifth graders you used to teach.

Heading towards the kids desks you glide around to every empty seat you could find placing some packets for practice that the students would work on until the bell dismissed them for the remainder of the day. There would be a music quiz this upcoming Friday and this was something to kept them over up until then when you would no longer allow them to use the notes, though some teachers warned you that it would be a good idea to let them use it during the parts where they would have to write out their answers instead of multiple choice. It was music theory and it was a lot of work trying to remember every last little detail from the books and you agreed but you were lenient letting them slide by with a few words that somewhat resemble the correct answer.

Just as you laid down the last packet the door flung open causing you to look up just in time to see all thirty-one of your students piling into the classroom like a pack of wild stallions, making you sigh as he stood there watching a few of the boys smacking each other on the back of their necks, while the girls shouts words towards their friends that were standing directly in front of them making them giggle. No one paid you any mind as they walked towards their respective desks, well some of your bookworm kids gave you a tiny smile as you nod back in acknowledgement. A few students turned back out of the door heading towards the bathroom across the hall.

"Oh my god! Ms. Y/L/N, Aaliyah literally has the same jacket as you!" Mary, one of your more popular students exclaimed as soon as she walked in. Along with her friends who were walking behind her chatting amongst themselves that was until Mary spoke up alerting their eyes now all on you, jaws dropped as they did.

"Yo check it— that's literally the same thing! I swear I've seen that shit before." Isaiah, the class clown of the class shouts out from the very corner of the classroom, clapping his hands on the desk laughing.
