Time passed as you slowly count down the seconds 30...37...49... and so on and so on, you'd been keeping track since you stepped foot off of sacred school grounds, excitement barely being contained at the thought of being able to just enjoy one night without being lonely. Due to the effects from the demanding duties of being attached to an A-Lister and her blossoming dual career. You didn't go straight home after work, wanting to pick up a few things from the grocery store for the dinner you were going to prepare tonight.

Aaliyah of course didn't know you had any special plans for the both of you, most likely thinking you'd fall into your routine of junk food and watching old classic horror flicks, but you decided to switch it up only slightly for tonight. With her working hard there was rarely enough time to get some bonding that two people bound by marriage should be setting aside in order to keep that spark alive that made the vows work. There were little to no date nights anymore, mostly days where you both would meet up when she was in town and you would eat on the go if you wanted to spend any real seconds with her.

With today being an actual day where you could get a chance to just be with her with, hopefully, no interruptions has you wanting to make sure that this particular encounter would be a very memorable one, something you and she could cherish and hold off on when her job finally spared her a second to just be with her loved ones instead of popping in for a few hours before she was off once again.

Only texts and phone calls being the main thing holding the strings to you two's actual connection. Though you didn't see her much your feelings for the woman are unchanged, still appreciating the woman for all that came with her baggage and all.

You would just make due with what little days you could get with her, it was hard when most of the world wanted her attention and time just as badly as you do. Sharing was hard for you, especially when you saw photos of her having a ball at events and you'd be up in the dead of the night thoughts racing, wondering, if she was giving up on you in replace of her lavish new lifestyle.

Of course she would tell you to push those negative thoughts away, not wanting to hear you berate yourself when she's reminded you time to time that she's still all in with you... still you couldn't help your thoughts when left to sit in silence most days.

"Excuse me," You interrupt one of the Krogers employees who was in the middle of blasting music from his mini CD Walkman banging his head as he stacked boxes on top of one another, he paused turning to give you his full attention, sighing.

"Yes?" Comes his response, pushing one side of his headbud up, with a raised eyebrow.

"Could you help me find the basil? I've checked in aisle 3 but It's not in the place where it normally is, and I was wanting to know if it had been replaced or if you're completely sold out." You hesitantly ponder, tossing a thumb behind your shoulder.
