SOMETHING THAT had left Adelaide absolutely hate boys just so happened to be the reason she absolutely love rock-n-roll.
Though she hated Rodrick Heffley with a burning passion, somewhere, very deep inside, she still wanted to maintain some sort of friendship with him.
They had been friends since Greg was born. The cliché "he was a punk and she did ballet" type of friendship and that had all been destroyed by some stupid game.
In Adelaide's eyes, Rodrick had seen her as an easy bet. That she was easy to play with and she wasn't going to let that go. But she did miss stupidly head banging to a random song that came on the radio with him.
But he'd ruined that in the matter of seconds. It almost shocked Adelaide that Rodrick had done something like this to her. The fact that he used her in that way? Never in Adelaide's life would she have expected Rodrick to do anything like this.
She needed to get her mind off of Rodrick. She knew exactly how she was going to do that.
She had gotten a part time job at this country club that Rowley and his family attended.
Adelaide wouldn't have to see Rodrick for the majority of the summer and she could get Keegan in for free. It was perfect.
But of course, nothing could ever go Adelaide's way could it?
