Amy's clock goes off, and Karma gets up not from the bed but she's awake.

"Amy, wake up. We're gonna be late for school."

She mumbles back, "No, I'm too tired."

"Come on, if your mom sees you're still here she's gonna think you'll only do this when I'm here, and she won't let me stay."

"Ugh ... fine. You're lucky I love you ... so much."

Amy drags herself from her ruffled covers.

"Come on, we need to hurry or we're gonna be late." Karma pleads.

"You don't have any clothes, and it's too late to get some from your house isn't it?" Karma nods her head. "Well you're gonna have to wear mine." Amy throws Karma a pair of deep blue jeans, and a striped blue and white t-shirt.

The two quickly get dressed so they can have breakfast with the rest of the family. When they head down, everyone gives Karma a weird look.

"Uh ... not trying to be rude, but why is she here?" Lauren adds quite angrily.

Amy answers, "It was too late to take her home, so she stayed with me."

"Well does she have to be here right now?"

"Lauren, honey, I'm not a big fan of this either but sometimes you just have to give up and let them do what they want."

"Well mother, I'm not a fan at all and you'd never let me have any boys over late at night, why is Amy's case any better."

Amy's mom adds, "Just be happy she didn't sleep in your room."

Lauren looks very surprised, and stays quiet afterwards. Amy has already sat down and made herself a plate of pancakes, Karma is awkwardly walking her way to sit down next to Amy.

Midway through, Amy lets her left hand go under the table, no one besides Karma notices. Amy reaches out for Karma's hand, Karma grabs her hand. Amy took this as mocking Lauren. Karma thought she was flirting.
Karma felt a little confused, so she tried to scurry off to school.

"Erm ..." Karma clears her throat, "We should ... we should be going, now.

She let go of Amy's hand to stand up, then she grabbed it again, "Thank you for the breakfast." She takes Amy and practically drags her to her car.

Amy, at some point gives in and walks with Karma. She starts the car, and they make their way to Hester.

"There better be a good explanation as to why I didn't get to finish my pancakes."

"There is. I just can't tell you, right now."

"Come on, I'm your best friend."

"Yeah, I know." Karma rests her head on Amy's shoulder, they stay like this for the rest of the car ride.

"Alright Karma, we're here."

"Did it suddenly get hot in here?"

"It's probably because we're in hell."

"You stole my joke, buttface."

The girls get out of the car, and walk towards the school. Soon enough they split, after holding hands and giving cheek pecks once in a while. All for show, of course.

Karma goes to first period, and sits next to Shane, who's never been late for class, but never early. "Shane, I need to talk to you."

"Anything. What is it?"

Karma starts whispering, "I think I love Amy."

"Well, that's no shocker." Shane says putting on a fake face and looking around to make sure people didn't get the wrong idea. "So, this isn't like just a crush?" He whispers.

"No. Yes. I don't know. I've never loved a girl before." She says still whispering.

"Okay, well ... I'll make a list of ways to tell. Just promise me, you won't break her heart."

"Of course, I would never want to hurt someone so beautiful." Karma says this one not so quiet.

Most of the classmates surrounding her start to awe, but then stop to think why she would hurt someone.

"Anyways," Shane says not hesitating, "I'll give this to you next period."

"Thanks, but you can give it to me right before third, because Amy and I are in that class together and it'll be easier for me."

"Alright, Captain Specific."

After that, Karma pays attention, while Shane scribbles down on the front and back of piece of paper.

A long class period later, Shane has finished his paper and Karma's almost asleep. After they leave the class, Karma runs into Amy ... Literally.

"Hey, I was just coming to see you." Amy says clutching her head.

"Yeah, I was about to find you too." Karma takes a bit of a pause, "I'm gonna be late for class. I love you, bye." Karma gives Amy a kiss on the cheek and scampers off.

They spend this class period away from each other, just building the suspense for Karma as she awaits Shane's list.

Soon, the bell rings and Karma runs around to find Shane. She eventually finds him, and he hands her the paper, "You should have told me this earlier, I have been shipping you two together ever since Amy told me you two were ... you know."

"Fucking? Because that's not-"

"No ... faking." Shane whispers. "Anyways, bye." Shane runs to his next class determined to keep his perfect attendance.

Amy walks up, and takes Karma's hand and walks her to class.

"What's that paper for?"

"It's for that thing I can't tell you yet."

Amy fake gasps, "Are you throwing me a surprise party?"

"No, but it's certainly gonna be a surprise."

"Why are you so confusing?"

"Doesn't matter. You love me either way."

Amy takes a short sigh and puts a smile on, "True."
