And she took my phone away. My baby. How is it ever gonna be able to support itself without me? I was the only thing protecting it, now it's in her hands.
She's holding it tightly to her side and keeping it just out of my reach. In her left hand is the phone. In her right is my hand, as we're walking around the mall looking for a particular shop.
We make our way up the escalator, and Amy looks at me then my phone. I can see her just barely in my peripheral vision, and turn to look at her.
"Honey ... what are you doing?" I ask curiously.
"Going through your phone. By the way, you got a message."
"Who from?"
"Who do you think?" When she says this we step off the escalator and keep walking. I know she's talking about Liam.
"What did he say?"
"What? Why do you wanna know?"
"Because I'm curious. Why else?"
"You aren't still together, are you?" She stops me and we're standing near the center of the all the shops. I'm rendered speechless on the account that she would accuse me of getting together with him. "I knew it. You two are banging behind my back again, aren't you?" She's getting mad and starts to raise her voice but lowers it just enough so no one can hear.
"Amy ... I"
"No. If you two are still together you're clearly not in this relationship for me." She storms off, and I of course have to follow her.
"Amy wait!"
"Why should I?"
"Because ... I'm not with Liam. For all care he could have fell down a well and I still wouldn't care."
"Why are you doing this?"
"Doing what?"
"Why are you with me? Are you just doing this to stay popular? Just tell me. If you are, I'll go along with it. Just tell me so you're not messing with my heart."
"Amy. Everyone already thought we were a couple before we were. I wouldn't be standing here with you, if I just wanted to be popular."
"What about Liam then?" By this point we're standing just in front of the escalator.
"Fuck Liam. Amy, I love you." After I say this, Amy's eyes gleam up at mine, and I can tell exactly what she's gonna do.
She practically tackles me and kisses for quite some time.
