Karma couldn't resist laughing, she tried to cover it up with her hand but Amy saw.

"Why are you laughing this time?"

"You lost your door privileges."

"My door might be open, but that doesn't mean we can't have just as good of a time."

"Yeah, at least I don't have to go."

"Yeah, at least we don't have to pretend to be dating anymore."

"Technically, we still are" Karma says with a little hesitance in her voice.

"Don't tell me you're gonna make me do stuff."

"Well yeah, like one of has to ask the other one out."

"Will you, Karma, be my gay-ass girlfriend?"

"No, do it ... better."

"Fine." Amy gets up to kneel on the floor in front of Karma. She takes her hands and asks, Karma Ashcroft, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes, Amy. I'll date you."

"Great, I'll pick you up at seven tomorrow?"

"For what?"

"It's a surprise."

"Yay. Anyways, there's other stuff to being a couple."

"Does one of them include getting rid of your boy-toy?"

"Yes, Amy. I'll get rid of Liam."

"You mean you're gonna dump him, right? Not like kill him."

"We all know you're more of the brute."

"I couldn't agree more." Amy leans in for a kiss, and Karma accepts it, and sends herself into a kiss that leaves them both breathless.

They lay back on the bed with their knees hanging off, Karma's barely reached the floor. Amy grabs Karma's hand and they turn their heads to look at each other. Lauren walks in, and they both sit up without hesitation.

"Amy, Karma shouldn't be here."

"Well she's gonna be here, and you're gonna deal with it."

Karma stays back for a bit to watch, "Look, I know you both are faking it but why do you have to do that here?" Lauren says trying to call them out.

Karma steps in, "Lauren, we know you live here but why do you have to be in here?"

"Because asshole, I need your help."

"For what?" Amy says smug.

"I need an interview with the school's cutest" She takes a moment, and uses air quotes, "Couple."

"Why do you think we'd help you?"

"Because I'm your sister now. "They both give Lauren a face of disbelief. "Fine. I'll give you both forty bucks."

Amy looks at Karma for a second, they both simultaneously say "Deal."

"Seriously? Thanks, I could hug you." Amy extends her arms, "I didn't say I would."

"That's what I thought."

Lauren walks out, and starts arranging her calendar for the interview. Amy looks over at Karma to see that she's already staring. Karma adds with an awkward tone, "Things are looking up."

"All besides my mom, because she's looking down on us."

"That one was good. The situation is bad, but that was good."

"Well I'm the queen of word-play. You can be the other queen."

"I'd love to." Karma leans her head on Amy's shoulder, she lifts her head quickly then gives Amy a kiss, just to put her head back on her shoulder.

After hours on end of the two being all cutesy, it's getting late and Lauren tells them dinner is ready. They head down to see plates of spaghetti. Amy pulls out Karma's chair for her then chooses the seat next to her. Karma tries to casually slide her hand under the table, but bends her arm to an awkward pose, then lays it down on Amy's. She gets the hint and intertwines her hand with Karma's. The whole table knows what their doing, since Karma wasn't very casual.

Lauren adds in, "I'm sorry to ruin the silence, but is no one going to say anything about those two?" She takes a moment to look at Bruce then Farrah. Neither one said anything. "You two are barely this close in school, why are you all of a sudden touchy-feely?"

Amy answers with a sincere smirk, "We're just ... Well, she's my girlfriend," when she gets to "girlfriend" she gives Lauren a specific look. "And I love her." Amy says staring into Karma's eyes.

Lauren gives a shocked look. She knows what they mean, and continuously looks back and forth between Amy and Karma.

Her parents seem to look very confused, not knowing what was going on.

"Erm, Amy. What's going on?" Amy's mother says looking at her.

"I don't know."

Lauren, in the meanwhile, stopped giving looks, and started eating her food. After Amy's answer, Lauren said "Mother, may I be excused?"

"Why, yes Lauren, but-"

Barely waiting for approval Lauren wanders out, with a sad face on, thinking about her ex-boyfriend who recently broke up with her.

"Well, Mr. and Mrs. Raudenfeld, this was a lovely dinner, but I think we should go help Lauren." Karma says as polite as ever.

They sit shocked and confused as to why Lauren was sad. Karma and Amy head upstairs, and immediately go to Lauren's room. Lauren's sitting on her bed. "What do you want?" Lauren says with her eyes filled with tears.

"Lauren, what's wrong?" Amy says still holding hands with Karma.

"That." She points to their hands.

"You have a problem with our relationship?" Karma asks as she raises her hand, still grasping Amy's.

"Not yours, specifically," She stops talking long enough for the girls to get confused, "Everyone around me is in a relationship, and I'm stuck in this hellhole part of Texas, and I don't even get someone to share my pain with."

Amy lets go of Karma's hand to walk to Lauren. She kneels down to her and says, "Lauren ... you're gonna find someone, who knows who it'll be. That person is gonna take this hellhole right off your shoulders."

"Thanks Amy, you can go now. I know you don't really care."

"That's it, Lauren. We're sisters now, we keep secrets, we're supposed to care for each other."

"I get that, but I'd rather be alone."

"If that's how you really feel, we'll leave you alone." Amy gets up and walks back to Karma. She takes Karma's hand and walks into her own room. Amy lays down on the bed, and Karma stands in front of the bed.

"What did you mean by you two keep secrets?" Karma asks looking a bit mad.

"It's nothing I haven't already told you."

"Or is that another one of your secrets?"

Amy gets up now, "Babe, I promise it isn't."

"Babe?"

"Hey, don't judge I'm trying something new."
