After the others left for Mount weather, I wanted to try and do something to help. Maybe help sort through the supplies they gave us on the drop ship, though I didn't assume it was much.
When I passed the drop ship, I found that it had a phrase carved into the side on one of the areas. It read 'first son, first to dye'.
Okay so this is told me two things. Not only were we trapped on a Earth with a bunch of psychopaths, they also happend to be idiots.
Dye? DYE? It seriously doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. My bet was on the kid who squared up with Wells earlier.
I keept walking, this time I was hoping I would find Wells to ask him about that dyslexic shit show back there, when I ended up finding Bellamy instead. I figured while I had him I could try and talk to him, since figuring out how he got here had become my mission; thank you Clarke.
The odds of him admitting to how he got down here when I first ask him were slim to none, but it was worth a shot. He seemed kind of arrogant to me, I mean that was just from first impression. People read me wrong all the time.
I ran up to Bellamy, who was talking to that idiot kid who tried to fight Wells earlier.
"Hey guard boy!" I called to him. Bellamy turned his head to me, then back towards the group he was talking to. He mumbled something to them I didn't care to hear, and they stumbled off like a bunch of minions in a crowd.
He turned around to face me. "Eavesdropping again aren't you?"
I scoff. "No actually, but I am curious...We all know you're not a member of the real guard, that's obvious but-"
"Uh huh, and how is that obvious?" he interrupted me.
I responded quickly back. "Because the Ark isn't dumb enough to send a single kid barely brimming the age to be a real guard, to control 100 teenage criminals on a planet that's likely not even safe to survive on." I said it like it's fact, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
He gave me a look that told me he knew I wasn't stupid enough to believe him if he tried to convince me other wise. I didn't even think the dumb asses with a failed attempt at writing threats on the wall would be believe he was a real guard.
I continued, with persistence. "How'd you get down here?"
He thought about it for a moment. "Who even are you?" he asked, shaking his head.
"Does it matter?" I retorted.
He raised his eyebrows up like he was waiting for me to answer him reguardless.
"I'm Aspen."
He raised his eyebrows again. Seriously?
"Everest. Aspen Everest." I let out, annoyed.
He chuckled, like something about it was funny. "Really? Aspen Everest?" he laughed again before asking, "what's your middle name? Mount Weather?"
Haha very funny. He was just trying to avoid the question.
"Look just cut the shit Bellamy how'd you get down here?" I looked down to his wrist, my forehead creased. "And why don't you have a wristband?"
"Oh so you know who I am. I figured you might have thought my name was guard boy. I'm glad you figured it out," hid smirk dropped all at once, "I forgot you know how to eavesdrop." He looked at me like he was trying to tell me to back off with out actually telling me to.
I'd never been one to give up on things.
"Just tell me," I plead, "I'm gonna find out sonner or later." I'm was just begging at this point. I didn't want to have to go full detective on this guy. He seemed sort of dangerous.
