That was about the last thing I'd ever expect to see. I'd probably be less surprised if aliens had walked out of that ship. While I for one was frozen in my tracks, Finn and his wide eyes began to run towards her.
"Raven!" He shouts as he approaches her. Still in shock, I watch it all unfold. When she notices Finn's presence, she runs in his direction as well.
"Finn!" she yells with a mix of shock and relief. My first thought is how much I missed her and how glad I am to see her. But then my second thought comes knocking at the door and I wonder how the hell she got here. I see the two cling to one another taking in their presence.
"I knew you couldn't be dead." She confesses, out of breath. Finn, shocked as well glances at Clarke then refocuses he attention back towards Raven. I watch as their eyes glue to one another.
"You're bleeding." Finn notices the drops of red that cover Raven's forehead. The corners of Raven's mouth rise. "I don't care." She brings Finn's lips desperately to his. I can't help but let my eyes wonder to Clarke, who appears more betrayed and confused than shocked.
Coming out of my statued state, I walk over to the pair, who are still sharing a very long and fitting yet slightly awkward kiss given the circumstances. My eyes briefly meet the perplexed ones of Clarke and I send my mouth into a line, trying to let her know I couldn't have seen this coming.
Once the two separate, Raven lets out a small giggle. I quickly interrupt their moment because I haven't seen her in a year.
"Hey twin genius." I say through a smile, grabbing her attention. Her eyes widen when they meet mine and she flings her arms around me. "Aspen oh my God!" I always called her that growing up. She may not have been a genius on paper but that girl was the smartest person I knew, and the best mechanic the Ark had ever seen.
"How did you get here?" Finn asks, grabbing onto her arms once more. Raven's smile intensifies. "You know that big scrap hold? The one on K deck?"
Wow she really is somthing. I know I haven't seen much of the Ark in a while, but that thing was a piece of shit when Raven had showed me it once before.
Finn's gaze quickly shifts to glance at the drop ship, then back to Raven in amazement. "You built that from scrap?" He asks her, shocked.
"I kind of rebuilt it." She tells him, their arms don't stray off one another. Finn lets out a giggle. "Please like that's hard? It just needed a couple parts and some love." She adds. She has a way of saying things that might sound cocky, but are actually very reassuring and comforting.
"You're insane." Finn tells her in wide eyed amazement, her smile doesn't waver.
"I'd do more for you and worse. Just like you would for me." She says. Finn's eyes begin to panic slightly as they shift between Clarke's and Raven's, but you'd probably only notice it if you knew how much of a sticky situation this actually was.
I feel bad for Clarke, I do. But I also feel for Raven. I can't imagine doing everything she did to get to Finn just to find out he moved on in a week and a half. All I know is I won't be the one to spill those beans, for once in my damn life I'm staying completely silent.
Raven stumbles a little towards my direction. I quickly grab her arms to stop her from falling. "Come on, sit down. Sit down here." Finn tells her as we both help her to sit on a near by rock. Finn takes off his jacket and drapes it around her shoulders. "Let me find somthing for that." He adds as he touches her head. He runs over to Clarke, and I can't even imagine what he thinks he could say to try and explain what the hell just happened in the last 3 minutes.
"I can't believe you're here." I tell Raven. Her smile reappears on her face as she shifts her attention to me. "Are you kidding? I couldn't let you be the smartest person on Earth any longer." I let out a chuckle. We always messed with each other like this. "Oh please, we both know that part hasn't changed. But you're a close second." I add with a laugh. Her smile fades ever so slightly, changing the tone of the conversation. Her eyes gesture towards Finn. "You've been looking out for him, right?" she asks me sincerely.
