Authors Note: I haven't forgotten about part 2 of the last one, I just desperately need to update and I don't have a solid plot line for the second part of that yet so I'm just gonna give you this for now <3

I was quiet the whole way to the Navy yard. My brother wanted to drive me to work today. It was my second day working for NCIS. My first day was very slow, I just met everyone and then sat at my desk all day while McGee taught me the basics of how to run my computer. I was hoping today might be a bit more exciting, and maybe even get a case.

When my brother Mac pulled in to let me out he said, "Good luck today, stay safe, try not to kill anyone,"

"Thanks Mac, it's hard to kill someone from behind a computer though," I replied as I grabbed my bag and closed the door. It reminded me of when Mac used to drop me off at school, he would always tell me the same thing, good luck, stay safe, and don't kill anyone. Mac is 5 years older than me. He works as a doctor at our local hospital. He never really approved of me working in law enforcement, he wanted me to do something safer. He would have preferred me being a librarian or something, you never hear about librarians being killed at work. My first choice had been to go into the military. During highschool whenever I was asked the question "what do you want to do after you graduate?" My answer was always "Join the Navy." But eventually Mac talked me out of it and I decided to settle for being an NCIS agent instead.

I walked up to the big doors, I re-positioned my bag and took a deep breath. My boots clicked on the pavement as I walked. I could feel Mac watching me as I made my way to the door. I opened up the door, as I grabbed onto the handle, I realized how sweaty my hands were. I walked in and subtly wiped my hands on my pants; praying no one would try to shake my hand.

Since I was new, the security guards didn't know me as an agent yet, so I showed them my badge and kept walking. I kept my head down to avoid eye contact and conversations with everyone I passed on my way to the elevator. As I went round the corner, I ran into something, or more like someone. I quickly looked up to apologize to whoever I ran into but I froze when I saw who it was. His blue eyes seemed to just stare right through me. I panicked, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry boss, I should've watched where I was going," I hadn't planned on losing my job on the second day, I figured I'd at least last a month. Gibbs stayed quiet and just raised an eyebrow at me. I wish he would have replied, now I didn't know what to do or say, so I quickly began making more excuses, "I'm really really sorry-"

"Rule 6," Gibbs cut me off, "never say you're sorry, its a sign of weakness."

Gibbs' rules, of course. I couldn't help but wonder how many he had. I had learned rules 3 and 9 yesterday.

I responded to him with a simple nod. He turned to go back the way he came and motioned for me to go first. I began walking to the elevator. I didn't even have to look behind me to know he was following.

We both stepped into the elevator and just as it was about to shut, we heard Tony yell, "Hold that! Hold the elevator!" Gibbs stuck his foot in the way right before the doors closed and not even a second later Tony jumped in the elevator out of breath, "Thanks Gibbs,"

I was thankful Tony was in the elevator with us. I didn't hate Gibbs or anything, just being around him was awkward, I felt as though he hated me. I wasn't sure why he would hate me, i didn't really do anything, I just felt stupid.

We got out of the elevator and I walked to my desk with Gibbs still following behind. I had just turned on my computer when Gibbs' phone rang. I looked up and over to him. After he hung up he said, "Grab your gear, dead petty officer in a dumpster,"

I froze for a moment, Tony stopped in front of my desk and snapped his fingers in my face, "C'mon, lets go," He said.

"Oh shit-" I said quickly grabbing everything.

.....................

We all got in the car, I sat in the back with Tony and McGee. Gibbs was driving and Ziva was in the passenger seat.

McGee and Tony made me sit in the middle. McGee didn't want to sit next to Tony because apparently Tony always bothers him. And Tony didn't want to sit next to McGee because McGee smells like a woman. Neither of them make very much sense and they act like children. "Why do I have to sit in the back?" I asked as I leaned closer to McGee while tony tried to poke me.

Tony laughed, "Because," He poked my nose, "You are the probie here."

I frowned at him, "Okay? At least my maturity level is higher than a 12 year olds."

"Well I bet my IQ is higher than yours" Tony rolled his eyes.

"What does that have to do with anything? Your IQ is probably like 20, oh but wait, my bad, that's probably a big number to you." I snapped, scooting closer to McGee.

"Alright but at least I'm not scared of Gibbs-" Tony started.

"DiNozzo, that's enough," Gibbs interjected.

I turned bright red. My hands got all sweaty again. I slid back over to where I was supposed to sit. Tony looked over at me with an evil grin. I gave him a quick glare and then I went back to staring at my shoes. I stayed quiet the rest of the ride.
