When we arrived at the crime scene, we all got out of the vehicle. The local police came over to greet us.

"And I assume you must be Agent Gibbs?" One of the Officers spoke.

Gibbs nodded, "Where's the body?"

"Follow me," The Officer replied, motioning for us all to go with him.

They made me carry everything. I had stuff stacked in my arms so high I could hardly see. I could smell the body before I saw it.

"Oh god why did I choose this job," I muttered to myself.

" Because Probie, It's fun," Tony said, bumping my arm.

I lost my balance and almost dropped all the stuff I was carrying. "Mhm, well we clearly have different ideas of fun," I snapped.

"Oh I assure you, I can be loads of fun," Tony started.

"I don't care who's fun, or what's funny, get to work." Gibbs said out of nowhere. I didn't even know where he had gone, he just appeared.

"Yes sir," I replied.

Gibbs sighed and walked away. I looked at Tony, "Did I say something wrong?" I whispered.

"He doesn't like it when people call him sir," McGee entered the conversation.

"jeez, I was just trying to be respectful," I rolled my eyes, "Next time I'll just call him ma'am," I jokingly added.

"yeah?" I hear from behind me. I immediately freeze. Somehow during the conversation Gibbs ended up standing behind me, my blood ran cold, I felt like I was gonna pass out.

"Uh," I looked up to McGee as to silently ask for backup.

McGee got my signal and began to tell Gibbs about the body.

I took a deep breath and excused myself as I walked back over to our car. Maybe I wasn't cut out to be an NCIS special agent. I got in the car and put my head in my hands as a million thoughts raced through my mind. Being a librarian didn't sound so bad anymore. During my training at FLETC, I had heard all sorts of rumors about Gibbs, I had hoped they weren't true but, it turns out my luck isn't that good. I wasn't sure how I was supposed to push through with this, I wasn't sure why it was so hard for me to be around Gibbs.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard someone tapping on the window. I looked up and saw Gibbs. He opened the door and knelt down, "Whats up?" He asked me.

I thought for a second, I wasn't sure what I should tell him, "I-" I began, but I froze and looked away.

There was a moment of silence, until he spoke again, "Is what DiNozzo said true? Are you scared of me?"

"No, no I'm not scared of you, it's just...I don't know," I'm not even sure what I was trying to say.

"Look, I know it's your first day, no one is perfect, you can calm down, I'm sure you'll turn out to be a great agent." He held out his hand to help me out of the car.

I took his hand and smiled, I felt much better now knowing that he didn't hate me.

After I was out of the car, he gave me a hug.

Maybe all those rumors weren't actually true, I thought to myself.
