I finally made it to my third trimester. This is a huge milestone for me and Tanner. We can't believe we have made it this far with our baby. I will only have our baby in my stomach for a few more weeks and then they will be in our arms forever. Tanner and I wanted to keep our 2nd baby's gender a secret so we will be surprised in the delivery room. My mom still has been pestering me about a baby shower. I informed her that no one will know the gender until the baby's due date. There wouldn't be a point in a baby shower if no one will know the gender until later. I can't wait for that day. Elena has reached milestones of her own. She learned how to walk and she knows how to say "mommy" and "dada" now. I can't believe she is about to be 3 years old. It's hard to think about that in a few years she'll be in kindergarten and I don't know if my heart can take it right now. I don't want my babies to grow up. I want them to stay little forever.
Tanner comes home and tells me that he has a surprise. I wonder what kind of surprise it would be. He knows I don't like surprises. "Remember that house we saw in Balsam Hills?" I tried to recall what house he was talking about. "Oh, the cute little farmhouse that I said was beautiful?" He smiled. "Yes, well they have put it on the market and it's for sale!" He looked overjoyed. "Tanner.. you don't think it would be too much with the baby coming soon?" He looked hesitant to speak. "That's just it, it would be perfect. You would have a bigger kitchen, a bigger bedroom, a room for your crafting, a bigger room for Elena and an extra room for the baby." I did like that we would have a bigger space and extra rooms. "Let's do it!" I yell with excitement. We call the real estate agent and inform them that we are interested in buying the farmhouse. They set us up with an appointment to take a tour of the house. We couldn't be anymore excited.
Three days later we are on our way to look at the farmhouse. The drive is about 20 minutes and with every mile, our anticipations grew. We finally came to the house and got out of the car. The outside looked so beautiful and welcoming. We meet the agent there and walk through the house. The master bedroom was huge. I'm glad Tanner and I will have it all to ourselves. Next we look at what would become Elena's room. It was spacious enough for her to grow up and be able to play until her hearts content. Afterwards, we went to look at the baby's nursery. It was the perfect size. We could decorate it however we wanted for our baby. We finished the tour with the backyard. A beautiful back porch, an underground pool and a hot tub? I turned towards Tanner and immediately said "let's make an offer on the house, now." He turned towards the agent and said, "we'll take it." We head down to the agent's office to sign paper work. After we left the office, we drive back home to start packing.
A week goes by and it's the day we move into our new house. We couldn't be any more happier. We drive over to the house so we could start unpacking everything. We put each of the boxes that were labeled into the rooms that the stuff was going to. After we finished moving all of the boxes inside, we go out to eat to celebrate our new home. When we finish eating we head back to the house to unpack everything. I start with Elena's room and Tanner starts with our room. I put the crib first so I can put Elena's down while I unpack her things. Every time I dropped something she made the cutest laugh. Finally an hour later, I finished up her room. I walk into our room where Tanner was to see how much he had gotten done. It looked absolutely incredible. We decide to take a break and watch a movie.
I woke up to Tanner and I passed out asleep on the couch. I wake him up and tell him that we should go to bed. We make sure Elena is asleep and we head to bed. The next morning we wake up and finish unpacking. While Tanner was finishing up the bedroom, I cooked us breakfast. I made homemade yogurt, fresh fruit, omelettes and bacon. We all sat down to eat. We all had a good and yummy breakfast. After we finished eating, we started unpacking some more. I laid Elena down for her nap around 2 pm and Tanner and I continued on unpacking. Around 6:30 pm, we finished unpacking the rooms. The last room we needed to unpack was the living room. We finished that within 30 minutes. We went into the nursery and started to think about how we wanted to decorate it. We decide to go to the store tomorrow to get some cute things to put in the nursery. We eat dinner and head to bed.
The next morning we wake up and head to the store. We look for things to put in the nursery. We head to Target to find baby clothes, blankets and toys. We also get some diapers, wet cloths and baby bottles. I found some cute curtains to hang up in the room that match with the color scheme. After shopping all day, we head back home to finish decorating the nursery. When we get home we put Elena in her bouncy chair and get to work. It took us 4 hours to finish the nursery. After we finish, we decide to relax in the bath. When we get out of the bath, we put Elena to put and go lay down in the bedroom. Tanner starts to rub my stomach and talk to the baby. He is so excited about this baby. We end up cuddling and falling asleep.
