Following dinner, we carpooled to Sean's estate. Patricia rode in one car with Kendall, Ahmad, and Sean, while I rode in a separate one with Coco.

Initially, I had been hesitant to tag along with them but, after successfully being peer pressured by Coco, I had no choice but to change my mind. According to what I'd been told, she planned to use the extended opportunity to spend more time getting to know Ahmad.

"Okay, so I definitely kind of like him. I think I'm going to ask for his number. I keep hinting at it, but he's either completely oblivious or just plain stupid." Coco leaned over her seat, observing the moving trees through the car window.

"You should. He comes across as a really sweet guy." I encouraged, feeling hopeful for her. Ahmad seemed like he was well-mannered and the type of guy you could confidently bring home to your parents. Definitely a stark contrast from her usual bad boy type.

"I know right! Apparently, Sean has this really dope heated pool in his backyard, and we're going night swimming together when we get there. I'm hoping I can work some of my sexy magic on Ahmad." Coco winked at me and I instantly rolled my eyes.

"Wait-night swimming, what am I going to wear? I don't have anything on underneath my dress, remember..."

"Oh gosh, I completely forgot Sasha. I'm so sorry about that. But, you don't like to swim anyways."

"You're right. It's totally fine." I concluded, suddenly feeling the side effects of the wine I'd drank at the restaurant begin to make me feel slightly tipsy.

As we drove deeper into a residential community lined with large houses, the car finally ceased moving once we'd reached an iron gate at the end of the street. The stoned barrier opened up shortly after the driver entered in a code. Once our car was parked, I stepped out into the cool air and took my time fully appreciating the staunch beauty of the house.

Sean's home was fancy and simple all in one. It was larger than most houses in New York, majestically surrounded by well-lit trees and perfectly green grass that floored the stonewalls. With a two-story floorplan and a naturalistic view overlooking grassy plains, I had to say that Sean had done extremely well for himself.

"Alright everyone, I'm going to call it a night, but have fun. Ladies, the boys can show you where everything is." Sean muttered, just as we entered the house and his phone rang. He hurried up the steps of the spiral staircase, the sound of his shoes fading as he reached the top of the steps.

"What does Sean do for a living?" Patricia pointedly asked the one question we'd all been wondering. It was quite impressive how he was able to afford a house of this stature at such a young age.

"He's a real estate broker, very successful at that. Don't mind him, he's just incredibly busy planning wedding details with his fiancé. Who, I assume just called." Ahmad warmly smiled, offering an explanation to excuse his friend's standoffish behavior.

"Well, who's down for some swimming?" Coco dismissed, already parading through the foyer to the back door.

"Me!" Patricia squealed, following Coco to the patio.

Ahmad shrugged, then turned to Kendall. "You coming?" The dour man nodded. Yet, as Ahmad exited the foyer, he stayed behind and surprisingly followed me into the kitchen. I stood there awkwardly, rocking back-and-forth on the tips of my toes.

"Are you not going to swim?" Kendall questioned curiously.

"No."

"Why not?" His question was almost immediate, throwing me off guard.

"I'm not planning to stay long, so there's really no point. Patricia's probably wondering where you are, though." I said a bit too aggressively for my liking, as I waited for him to leave.
