Bordeaux, France
The early morning sun rose into the sky, the horizon lit up with an orange color as light shone through the city of Bordeaux. The city began to wake up, cars drove through the city, cafes and restaurants opened, even while some residents still slept.
Golden irises watch as the sun rises, then they look away, pulling the curtains shut as if to shut the world out.
He sighs as he sits on the bed, taking out his phone and looking through it once again. He sets it back down before shaking his head and running his hands through his hair, placing his head in his hands.
"Adrian," he glances up when he hears his name.
"Yeah?" He asks softly.
"Breakfast is ready if you'd like some."
"I'll have something later but, thanks Logan."
"You haven't come out of your room in a while. What's up?" Logan asks and Adrian sighs before shaking his head.
The brown-haired male goes to the door and opens it, allowing his friend inside. "It's nothing."
Logan shakes his head. "Adrian, I've known you for a long time," Logan murmurs as he studies his friend, "something is going on. What is it?"
"It's nothing," Adrian assures him, "I just...haven't heard from Daniel in a while, that's all."
Logan inhales deeply before nodding. "I see. When did you hear from him last?"
"The day after I took him home. Since then, nothing," Adrian murmurs, "the last message he sent was he wasn't sure if he can handle a relationship with me. Because of what I am."
The blond male offers Adrian a slight smile. "Honestly, if it's been that long, he may not..."
"I know," Adrian murmurs before sighing softly, "I miss him, though," he says softly, looking towards his bed before he sits on the edge of it.
Logan nods in response. "If you'd like, we could hang out today. Fleur got a message from Lyria. They'll be here to pick her up, probably today or tomorrow," Logan says and Adrian smiles slightly.
"Thanks man but...you should spend time with your girlfriend before she leaves," Adrian insists as he looks towards his friend, "never thought Fleur would have a boyfriend."
Logan smiles. "Well, she does. Do you approve of my choice?"
Adrian chuckles before inhaling deeply. "I think she's a good choice. She's strong, and deep down she's quite kind. You've got the whole heart of gold thing going on, so it compliments her," Adrian murmurs.
"And you're the tortured soul who's finding a way through it. With Daniel's help. I've noticed changes ever since you started dating him," Logan reminds him, "but there are others who can help you. Don't rely on one person to heal you," he says, offering his friend a smile, "I'll see you later. Fleur and I might go out again."
"You're spoiling her."
"As I should," Logan murmurs before smiling wide, "take time for yourself, alright? I'll see you later."
"Yeah, see you later," Adrian murmurs as Logan leaves the room.
Logan smiles watching the girl he adores. He listens as she speaks with a French merchant, very polite to the older man. She thanks the merchant before returning to Logan's side.
"Did you watch me the entire time?" She asks and he shrugs.
"Possibly," he murmurs as he smiles at her, "I'm going to miss you when you leave."
