The day of the ball/ Luna's Birthday/second full moon

Luna’s POV

I stood on top of the highest peak of the Zephira’s mountains. I could see every detail, and the wind did not bother me as it whipped through my hair. I laughed at its attempts to push me over. I could see the castle, a smudge in the dark night. The almost full moon illuminated only me, not spreading its light to the other mountains. My peacefulness was interrupted by a steady shaking, making the ground tremble underneath my feet. Losing my footing, I started to fall…

I jerked upright, startling Sophia who had been shaking me awake. A throbbing pulse echoed throughout my head, and every muscle felt tired and painful. I brought my feet slowly to the floor, and the pain radiated up my shins. Sophia smiled sympathetically, before helping me to my feet.

“What time is it?” I grumbled, rubbing my eyes. I swayed slightly on my feet, before extending my arms to regain my balance.

“Why, it is late noon, just in time for the preparations for tonight’s ball.” I gasped at Sophia’s answer. I slept strait through the morning! I made my way to the lavatory, where the tub sat, its four legs resting on the solid wood. Sophia stood beside it, ready to hand me the lotions needed. I pulled off my chemise, and slipped into the warm water.

I let my hair soaked, my eyes closed. I felt the drag of sleep start to pull on me again. I was awakened by the sharp tug of my hair by Sophia, who had been brushing it out. I gave her my best death glare, before I sighed. The water had gone chilly, and it was best I got out. Wrapping myself in the soft towel, I walked unsteadily into my bedroom.

My bed look extremely inviting, but I made my way towards the vanity. Sitting heavily in the chair, I buried my wet head in my hands. Why did I feel so horrendous? I almost never got sick. I did not even notice Sophia with my robe. I wrapped the warm fabric around my body, burrowing myself in the thick fabric. Sophia started to tug my hair across my head, but I fell into a zoned out state, a mix between sleeping and consciousness.

It was when Sophia lightly slapped me that I regained full awareness. It was abrupt because I felt my sense roar through me, loud and out of control. Before my head felt like it was filled with cotton, now each breath was harsh and too loud.

Sophia’s eyes contained pity as if she knew what I was going through. I opened my mouth to ask her, but she swiftly turned towards my wardrobe. From its depths, she pulled out a new gown. The dress was created before the ball, as Eldora insisted I had something nice to wear.

The top was a light blue and white, with the fabric swirling like clouds across my chest, forming straps. The blue darkened into a navy, as a darkening sky. Silver beads spread across the button like stars. Silver beads made a swirling wind design across my waist, which extended into a silver trail. White slippers graced my feet, giving the appearance of glass. My hair was mostly up, with small mini loose braids trailing down my shoulder. A hairpiece that resembles the wind design across my waist sat on the back of my head, holding a complex large braid in place.

A small bit of powder was dusted to hide any imperfections, small amount of blush to make me look alive, and rogue was alight my lips. I was hauntingly beautiful, and I looked amazing. The dress showed off what I had as a woman, giving me hips and breasts. The dress was also comfortable, molding into my shape. No excess fluff pointy or itched, I wore the dress it did not wear me.

I hugged Sophia for a job well done. I pushed my discomfort away, ready to enjoy the night. I would dance and show who the inner Luna was. Maybe all I needed was a little wine. I knock resounded through my room. Going to answer I met a shocked Kenzie. His gaze roamed my figure, as I did the same to his. Looking extremely flamboyant today, I could barely describe the ruffles that traveled up his sleeves and neck, and the bright purple pants.
