If the first thing a new Alpha does is go back to bed then some pack members should worry. If they knew that their new alpha was going to project her to the kingdom back home, some would cry mutiny. Nevertheless, it had to be done.

This had been my though process for the past fifteen minutes, with no relief. Should I really go back and tell them? Everything in my heart screamed yes, but the logical part said no.

I did not realize I had projected myself until I found Eldora yelling at me.

“Holy! Luna, you just scared me half to death! You just had to appear right there! Are you even listening to me young lady?!”

It was good to see Eldora, I thought sarcastically, before I was engulfed in her hug.

“Alright Eldora, good to see you too. Will you please release me and tell me what happened?”

Eldora’s cheer went right out the window, her perfect blue eyes filling with tears, before they steamed down her face.

“Mother’s dead Luna, just like father is.”

I knew about the king being dead, not mother. My eyes stood wide like saucers and I couldn’t breathe.

“How?”

“Heart attack, soon after father left to fight. There is no one left to rule the kingdom.”

“You have to take charge Eldora, as I am most likely disowned”

“I have to marry someone to do that!”

“What about me?” said a hesitant voice outside the door, and in came Kenzie, his haircut shorter then I last saw him, and an outfit that did not look ridiculous on him. He seemed different, with the new hair and clothes. His eyes were only on Eldora, and Kenzie slowly knelt down in front of her.

“I know that you were not too keen on me at first, as off my girlish looks. I did that to see if you could tell that it was I. I was the one at your friend’s ball, wearing clothes that my father had once worn. I fell in love with you, but I had to make sure you loved me for me. I enjoy the clothes I wear, I am not the best guy on the planet, but I love you Eldora, and I would do anything for this kingdom.”

Eldora stood stock still, yet I was beaming at Kenzie.

“What are you staring at Eldora, kiss the man!”

Eldora soon rushed into Kenzie’s arms, kissing him soundly on the lips.

“Even if you had not been the guy at the ball, I love you anyways. Your caring and sweet nature, how you helped me when Luna could not. Thank you, and yes, I will marry you.”

I looked at the two and new the kingdom was going to be fine. I turned to project back before Luna stopped me.

“I hope you can be here for the wedding”

I smiled at her, before saying back “I hope so too”

In a second my body put me back in my room, a smile on my face. As long as Eldora was happy, I was happy. I would mourn my mother tonight, when the dead wolves were buried.

9 months later

I did not know how it happened, but I got an invitation to the wedding, along with happily in love Derek. I had visited Eldora a few times, and I could already start to sense pregnancy on her (just have not told her, I want her to find out on her own.)

The pack was warming up to me. It was hard to find the time to do everything, yet I managed. I had Ashton on my side. The dead from the fight had been properly mourned, and Anthony visits weekly to see what is happening.

I was sitting at my desk, looking over the records of a few rogues that had been darting into my territory, before Ashton came into the room.

“Hello darling” said Ashton, before he physically moved the desk. I was expecting him to be standing, yet there Ashton was on one knee, holding a silver ring in his hands.

“I know it is a little late Luna, but with everything I think it is time. I love you, from the very moment you were the shy human to the leading alpha. I want to marry you, human custom style. I want to be with you forever, have a connection as strong as possible. Will you do the honor of marrying me?”

I jumped into Ashton’s arms, not able to make out a formal yes, but he chuckled at my reaction. He took my hand from around his neck, and slipped the ring on.

And with Ashton by my side, I became the best Alpha I could be.

I know it shorts, but it is the end. Maybe an epilogue later? I did not make the best plotline ever, and i have run out of ideas. If you did enjoy this short novella, then please look forward to my new book "Coming back to Julie."

Love,
