The tap on my shoulder was gladly welcome.
Sophia stood over me, already a look of impatience spreading across her face. I was slow to awaken each morning, but today all I wanted to do was get out of bed.
That is what a strange dream does to a person
I moved along with Sophia, letting her poke and prod me into getting ready. I was not in the mood to resist, and did not feel too bad about talking to people.
Did I just say that? What were the damn moons doing to me?
Grunting in frustration, I threw myself UN-lady like into the chair in front of the vanity. I looked like a mess. My hair, (which was being pulled on by Sophia right now) was frazzled, and small bags marked my white skin. I knew that I should have gotten better sleep, but that stupid conversation between the wolves made me think until my head hurt.
Why where they talking about me, and why did they care?
Knowing that I was going to get nowhere, I let myself focus on my hair slowly being ripped out. Sophia had long stopped being gentle with me, as I complained no matter what. She was the only one to actually know me, as I hid from everyone else. I felt a sort of daughter like attachment to her, and if I had to choose one day, I would pick Sophia over my own mother. That is what my mother gets for barely talking to me. I would save Eldora over anyone else. She was my closest person to me, and she actually listened. Not like anyone else did though. Sophia finally realized that my mess of a hair was going to refuse to do anything today, and shifted her attention on the closet. I could here her picking through dresses, and each movement made me want to grind my teeth.
Guess my hearing was already acting up. Everything became sharper near the full moon. My eyesight improved, and so did my hearing, smell, and the other two senses.
Finally satisfied at her choice, Sophia came back over and spread the dress out. The color was a light purple, with beads on the edge of the top, then slowly lessening the farther down the dress got. A few darker purple bows stood out the front, going from the top center of my collarbone to the belt at my waste. I hated the bows, but, as I said, I did not want to argue.
As Sophia tightened my corset, my mind drifted back to the damn wolves again. Couldn’t that stupid dream stay out of my head? Slipping into the dress, I button the top on. Why did I ever agree to the bows again?
Just then a loud knock banged on the door, ringing my ears to the sky. Barging in with no respect, Eldora waltzed into the room. Looking beautiful in a dress of pink, her hair was done up that allowed as much of her golden curls to roll down her back as possible. Her face was bright and excited, with a pink flush to her cheeks. She started spinning, and singing a super annoying tune to her little act.
"Luna oh Luna, how do you do?
Today is fine and bright, oh woo!
You are sleepy, but today are fine!
Look at how my hair and dress shines!"
She bursts out laughing, and had to stop spinning so she would not fall down. Eldora laughing hysterically made me grin, even if her song rang into my ears too loud. Sophia just shook her head, but I saw a small smile form on her lips. Toning her laughter done, Eldora went to focus on me.
"Come on little sis, we are going downstairs for tea, and I am sitting by you."
"What?' I said. I was completely confused. Why would she want me to sit next to her?
