-Chapter 1-

"Yo, Brook! Welcome to earth! I need you to pass the cross bow," Cassy whinned. What a whinner head, but what are friends for?

"Okay! Don't get snappy," I said, like always, rolling my eyes. Whoops! "I'm rolling my eyes, Cas," I almost forgot. Cassy is blind, she can't see. You might be wondering, 'What on earth is a blind person doing with a cross bow?!' But Cassy is different. And I somewhat trust her.

"I know!", she snapped in that 'I know everything' tone. She raised her arm and gentaly pulled the thick string back. Closing one eye, she moved until she had a target. In the blink of an eye, she had let go and the airow had hit something I couldn't see.

"Come on! We have to go get the arrow."

"Why can't you go on your own? You aren't scared, are you?" I smiled to myself.

"No, I'm not scard, but I don't think you want to stand by yourself, in the woods, do you?"

"Whatever. I'll come to make you happy," I replyed nicely. She had me there. I was a little scared, but it's not fair the she knows my secret. Somehow she knows everything, everyone's secrets.

"Well, come on then! I don't have time to play 20 questions!" she snapped, once again narrowing her eyes at me.

"Okay! I'll lead," I have no idea what made me say that, but it shocked me. I had no intension of even coming, but I came anyway.

"One foot in front of the other, Brook. I don't have all night," she was right. I carefully walked throught the damp undergrowth of trees and bushes. "What direction did it go in?" I asked Cassy.

"Northeast. Why?"

"Because I don't have a compass in my head."

"Neither do I. Shut up."

"Bite me... wait I change my mind. DON'T bite me," I mumbled. She somewhat laughed. Which was an amazing step for her.

"Shut up, Brook. I really mean shut up, like, shut that gaping hole on your face, so I can think." The harsh words of wisdom.

"Do you hear something, Cassidy? What is it?" I felt fear strik my heart. What if their were wolfs in here?

"Shhhh!" she hissed. "Be quiet. It's getting closer."

'Oh, how joyous. I am gonna die!' I thought to myself.

"No you aren't," Cassy whispered. What did she mean? Who on earth was she talking to? I don't remember saying that out loud....
