-Chapter 3-

12:44pm. Were are you, Al?? Butterflys warm my stamach and sweat starts to form on my smooth skin. Alex. Don't do it. Don't talk to him. Parker. Parker, don't tell her. Parker, no! Don't get to close. No hints. Parker, don't tell her anything!

"Brook? Wake up, Brook. Come on! I have paractice today! Mom said you have to drive me in!" Camron screeched.

"Wha? Cam, it's Saturday! I want to sleep in, not take you to practice."

"Mom said to, Brook." He raised his eyes wide and slitly pulled his lower lip out, giving me the puppy face.

"Cam that doesn't work on me. 'Sides I gonna get up... in a minute."

Camron left my room muttering something about abducting aliens.

Sundely, I felt a bolt of energy. I felt it course through my veins, to my toes, and back up. Then, I stared hearing some voice.

Alex? Alex, you there? the Voice asked.

No! I thought, and thank the lord there isn't two of her!

Good. then this is Brook. You two have very similar minds. Though you'd be amazed at how much she hides from you. 'Thanks', I thought, bitterly, 'I really wanted to know that. Not that I already didn't know. And for you information I-'

"BROOK! Get out here! Your brother needs you to drive him in! I can't do everything. You have to help to," my mom yelled, right outside my door.

"Okay, Je-, I mean Mom." I jummped out of bed, feeling a little dizzy, and opened my closet. "Um, no. Oh, no. You wish...." I mumbled while looking though my closet. Nothing to wear. Bummer.

"BROOK! Get out here NOW!" Jessie, my mom, screached.

"OKAY!" I screached back. Quickly I grabbed a pair of jeans and an old t-shirt. Who cares anyway? I thought. I took a quick look in the mirror.

Ug! i thought. NO! I looked so thin. I could see my mucsle, which whould be okay if I had some fat to make me look, well, bigger. I was WAY to thin. I had always hated it when girls got mad when they looked fat, and thought that they wanted a body like mine. Strong, thin, and gental. Truth be told, I would give anything to look like them. I eat way more than I should and I only lose a few pounds. Alex on the other hand, got fat fast. She was always watching what she ate. I was enyous. I quietly walked out of my room, and down the hall. My mom was waiting with Cam, looking at him. Slowly, I walked up behind her. "Yes?" I whispered.

"AAHHH!!" She screamed. "Brook! You know I don't like that little creeping thing. Your father used to do that all the time!" Her breathing came in little puffs.

"Thanks, mom. Your so sweet." I smiled and grabed my keys. "See ya. I'll gonan take a spin after I drop Cam of, 'k?"

"Fine, but be careful. You know your dad doesn't want you hurt. Neither do I." Oh, quit pestering me! I smiled and said, "Sure, mom. I'll be extra carful. Come on Cam."

I half ran out the door and to my car. Well, it was Al's and mine, but she only had her perment. Right now it was all mine.

"Your not going to be careful, are you?" Cam asked. How did Cam know that?

"No! I don't lie. I always tell the truth to mom." Total lie.

"I thought so. Well, if you crash it wont be my falt."

"Fine. How do you know that?" I narrowd my eyes to show I was all buisness.

"Ha! Your eyes, stupid. And you blush." He smiled. " Of couse I lie to her all the time."

"Sure, whatever, squirt." I smiled at my pretty, little, old car. A blue 30th annivesery thunderbird. 'Corse it was Al's choice. I climbed into the front seat. To bad Al couldn't drive. She could do this every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. She'd hate it!

I turned the key and sighed when the moter made my seat buzz. "Lets go," I said. 'Corse two minutes later...."Can you put some music on?"

"What do you want to listen to?" I asked, Trying to sound nice and horridly faling.

"Um... Train? No. Oh, um..," he mumbled.

"Hey, Cam? How 'bout the radio? I got a new one installed...."

"Sure! I love radio." Guys, just so you know, he's only 12. I rolled my eyes and turned on the radio. "What's the name of this song? It sounds like, um... maybe Superchick?" Poor colturless boy. What a shame.

"No, not them, but they are good. It's Pink."

"Oh! Okay, now I see." Sure he did.

"Okay, um, were almost there. Got your stuff?" Basketball practice in the summer. Ugh. I can barly stand it in the Winter!

"What stuff?" He asked, almost gimmising.

"Water and towls."

"Water and towls?"

"You need water and no offense or anything, but you sweat like dad. Aka, you sweat ALOT. You should have brought a towl."

"To late," he grummbed.

"What ever...." I pulled up to the school, by the gym and he got out and run up to nasty, sweaty little guy friends of his. Okay... now what?

Maybe you should drive by the park.

Great, the Voice was back. 'Why?' I questioned.

You might find somthing you hate. 'Sure. Lets go to the park to find something I don't want to find! NOT!'

Go. Did my Voice just growl at me? I took a deep breath, hoping I wasn't crazy.

"I can't belive what I'm doing...." Turning the wheel, I started toward the park. I started listing to the music and drumed to the beat. I didn't know the song.

I saw the tops of the trees before I saw the sign that says "Twin Falls Park". I drove down the long gravel road. The rode was narrow at first and then spread our more. I slowly drove to my favorit parking spot, right by Red Oak trees. I walked out and around to the front and sat on the hood. It was then that something caught my eye. Lurking in the shadows was a short girl, who it was,I did not know. I could only see her outline, but not her face. She glanced at me and then looked down. "It couldn't be...." I mummered.

"It can be." Alex. She was clutching her stomach and moaning.

"What did you do?" I questioned, giving her my 'I-won't-give-you-sympath' look.

She looked at me then ran into the forest.

"I'm so sorry, Brook. I really am." Tears streamed off her face as she ran into the dark forest, crying the whole way.
