-Chapter 13-

When I awoke again, Parker was gone and Brandon, Stupid Weslie-head was in my room, looking through my closet. He was definatly on my Run-'till-I-kill-you list. I sprang up and almost smacked him. "Get OUT!"

He smiled and pulled on my hair. "Well, didn't we wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morring?" I slapped him, and I felt a shift coming on. "Aw, come on. I was only kidding."

"GET OUT!"

"You know, I liked you alot better when you were asleep." He walked out of my room, carfully eyeing everything. Jerk.

I smelled the air, looking for Parker, but his sent was absent. He wasn't here. I thougth about asking Jerk-face, but decied aginst it. As much as I wanted to know where Parker was, I didn't want to see Jerk-face. Then...

"BRANDON!!" My voice was still hoarse, but I yelled as loud as I could. He came rushing in, as if I were dieing.

"Yeah?!" He looked breathless, as if my acruly saying his name ment something. He just didn't get it.

"Alex was here, wasn't she?" My voice was a whisper and though I wasn't looking staight at Brandon I saw him nod him head, out of the corner of my eye. Alex had been here. But she was long gone by now. Or maybe....

"No, Brook. You can't find her. I'm sposed to take you to the meeting. It's time to go RIGHT now. Come on. It shouldn't take long."

"Were's Parker? I need him. He said he would take me." NO WAY WAS JERK-FACE TAKING ME!!!! I wouldn't tallerate it. NO WAY.

"He's gone to. He'll be back, though. You have to come, cuz it's Par's orders." Brandon was smileing and I grawled at him. Stupid creep (another name for Stupid-chip-stealing-wesle-head-jerk-face-creep----Or aka: Brandon)

"Fine. Let's go then. The sooner we get there, the sooner I get away from you." I stumbled over to my two-story window and jumped out. The fall was over in secounds but I had smiled the whole time, and landing didn't get rid of my smile. What made my smile fade was Brandon (or that LONG name I gave him.... :D) landing next to me, just as happy. Once again, CREEP!

Then we started our long journy into the woods.

I heard talking before I saw anything. They talked about... well, normal stuff. You know, like pets, food, books, and then there was the OTHER talks. Like, Vamps. They were talking about one Vamp impurticular, some Vamp called 'Gnisis'. He sounded strang, but I didn't listen to that conversation to closely. "Were almost there," Brandon whispered, in my ear. "Be very quiet." I didn't really want to ask why, but I didn't really want to crash some Werewolf party (okay, "meeting"), either. But I didn't argue (Hurray! Big step for me!).

We quietly walked throught the underbrush and I almost screamed when Brandon tryed to help me over bolders. I would clench my jaw and swat him away, but insted of crying (like I hoped), he just chuckled. He CHUCKLED! I was this close (whitch ment VERY close) to hurting him permanitly. I just might take his eyes out...

We intered a small clering in the woods and there, among all people, was Cassy. I hadn't seen her in forever! I almost squealled with delight. Almost. She heard me and smiled. "Sup, Brook. How's the trader?" Cassy looked...diffrent. As far as I could tell she hadn't had scars, that went all over her face and up and down her arms. She also looked a little meaner. I didn't think that could happen. (You have to love my sarcasim!) As for Cassy, I didn't like how she called my sis a trader. As far as I knew, I was a trader to her, too.

"Ha,ha. That was funny, Cassidy."

"I know, right?" She smiled, radinly at me. I held in a laugh. Let's just say there's a VERY good reason why Cassy doesn't smile.
