-Chapter 14-

I was in mid hunt. The smell of the mountain lion fifty feet away made me ravenous. One step, two steps. I was getting closer. I crouched down. My head was raceing with the diffrent ways to kill it. I instintly ruled out at least three. They all included ripping my green sleevless tank. No. Wasn't planning on visiting that house full of werewolves again. Way to risky. The breeze picked up, sending the smell of the lion in my direction.

Oh, so tempting.

*CRACK*

The sound of a twig breaking sent shivers up my spin and I turned around, ready to attack. I jumped back and held my nose instead.

It was Parker.

"Holy crap you smell!" I screeched.

Parker ran at me, spreading out his arms. "Get used to it, Honey."

I grimiced. "You know, you didn't smell this bad, what was it, twenty minutes ago? Now you smell absoulutly terrible!" I took another step back.

"Ya, well this is what Brooke smells like now. The sent is stronger on younger members of the group." Parker said.

I blanked out. Brook. Of, corse she smelled absolutly terrible. I mean like, EW! type terrible. A smile slowly inched across my face. "This is what Brook smells like. I just hope you start to smell better sometime soon. Come on. This way." I had saw an awful big creek on the way here. I could push him in and he wouldn't smell so bad.

I grabbed ahold of his arm and ran off, pulling him behind me. North. I think it was North. No, I knew it was north. The smell of water and fish clung in the air. We neared the waters edge and I stopped.

Parker gave me a puzzeled look. "What in the world?"

I pushed him in.

But not before he could drag me in with him.

"Parker! You little brat!" I yelled. The water, which I thought would be terribly cold, was actuall inviting. His head broke the surface. His wet hair fell over his eyes. "Hey, you pushed me first, Vampire girl." He laughed and ducked under the water before I could hit him.

I dove in after him thinking, 'Hey, maybe I could go with out breathing like the Cullens!' I held my breath. Yup. Sure could! Hey, maybe this wasn't going to be so bad after all. I swam down stream, following Parker. He looked behind him and resurfaced. I came up and jumped to the bank. "I'm so gonna kill you," I growled.

"Oh really? Why don't you come over here and tell me that to my face?" He said. A sudden playfullness took over him. His features became more Parker like, not so werewolf scary man. His brown eyes softened and his lips formed an egar smile.

"Maybe I will," I said. I lowered into a crouch and jumped over the rocks and towards Parker.

"Oh, crap!" He yelled, ducking under the surface and darting away befor I could land on him. I laughed. This was Parker. Not some scary werewolf. I swam towards shore and sat down on the rocks. The afternoon sun beat down on me. I liked it. Parker swam up and sat down next to me.

"You cold?" He asked.

"Hm, this may be a total turn-off, but no. Not really," I smiled. Parker wanted to hold me! I singsonged in my head. I loved playing hard to get!

"Not much of a turn off. May I remind you that you are wet and look suprisingly sexy for a vampire?" A mischevious smile came across his face. Okay, this was new. Parker usually wasn't one for the whole sexy-ugly thing.

"Are you saying that you like me Parker Hale?" I asked. I squinted my eyes.

"Possibly....... Okay. Yes, I do kinda like you. Kinda."
