-Chapter 10-
I ran through the forest for a while, not wanting to accept anything. I was a Vampire, my big sister was a Werewolf, we were mortal enimies. I could never see her again. Never. Unless.......
I changed direction and headed toward my house. What was my house anyway. I stopped by the Old Oak Tree Brook and I had used as our 'Monkey house' when we were younger. I jumped off the ground and on to the first branch. 'Hey, this was easy!' I jumped up to another branch, atlest four foot away. This was actuall kinda fun. I jumped to the top of the tree and sat, waiting for my sister to come home. All of a sudden a Werewolf came through the trees and walked up to my porch and sat down. ON MY PORCH! I almost flew out of the tree at him. He might be here to hurt Brooke. But then I remembered Brook's fighting skills in the medow.
The brat could fend for herself.
Brook came up the drive way and I heard them exchange breif conversation. Then she ran up the steps in her brazzer and underwear, WHOA. Brook? Stripping? Outside? Wow this Werewolf thing must be getting to her head. I heard her mutter, "If Alex were here......."
"But Brooke, I am here." I whispered into the breeze. The night air was cool on my skin. This was to much. My sister and this guy. I couldn't take it. I jumped from the tree and landed softly on the balls of my feet on the grass, sprinting into the forest. I could hear laughter from the yard behind me. She must be having a good time. I ran faster and caught sight of Parker in the woods. In human form. It made me slow down enough to not run into a tree I hadn't seen. I stopped in front of Parker and he stared at me in shock. It would be so easy to kill him now.
"Parker? Please get Brooke inside. It's cold out and she can still get sick. Get her away from that boy to. I don't like it." I said, trying to distract my ears from the sound of blood rushing through his veins.
"All right. You need to get something to eat. You're weaking and that isn't good for your kind." He said.
My kind? My kind? So now he was compleatly banding me from even ever being his friend? Oh joy. I choked back a scream. "All right. Take care of her. I'll be around." Then I dove into the night, ready to pounce on the first thing I came to. Be it old man or squirell, it was going to happen. I ran farther into the forest, leting my instincts take control of me. I was fairly sure I was heading North, but not postive. I stopped. I lowered into a hunting crouch and sniffed at the air. To the west there was a whole group of dear, and to the east there was the faint smell of a mountain lion. If I went after the mountain lion I could easily get distracted and accidently hurt someone.
I decided to play it safe and go with the deer. I sprinted carfully in the dirrection of the smell, not nearly as appatizing as the mountian lion but hey, food was food. I lowered into a crouch a few yards away from the deer, and closed my eyes. There were two males, and three females. Males were closest. I sprang from the bush and started on my nightly feeding.
