"You've dated the woman before and don't know how to ask her out?" Jacey teased, crossing her arms.

"That was three years ago, smart ass. I don't want to repeat the same thing all over again," I whined, leaning against the wall.

"And how do you know she'll accept this date invitation, hm?" Griffin then asked.

"It's called having hope. Plus, she kind of hinted towards it herself. Either way, I want to take her on a date," I grunted, crossing my arms.

"You're such a baby," Griffin chuckled.

"And who was whining about making a good impression on Harley? You were on the verge of tears because you couldn't decide what shirt to wear," I snorted, leaning back against the couch.

"T-That's different!" He quickly rebutted.

"Such a baby."

"You two are giving me the worst headache known to man," Jacey groaned, rubbing her temples. "Look, we'll go and get the stuff you need to ask Lyra then you two are getting the hell away from me."

"Road trip? Whoo!" Griffin cheered, throwing his hands in the air with a cheesy smile.

"You better have your own money too."

"Aw, man."

"God, you two are annoying. Let's go," Jacey muttered, standing up and grabbing the keys.

Griffin hopped off the couch and I followed after him, shutting the front door behind us. Of course, Jacey wanted to drive so we both forced Griffin to sit in the backseat.

"Oh, come on," he whined. "I don't want to sit back here. I'm not a child."

"You're acting like one," Jacey and I said in unison, sighing.

He grunted then threw himself back against the seat, staring out of the window. I glanced back then chuckled before bringing my eyes forward again.

"Will you come on?" Griffin whined.

"There's certain flowers that she likes and I'm not leaving until I find them," I repeated for what felt like the millionth time.

"I thought you got those for her already. Those, uh... carnations."

"Those aren't her favorite. They're just the ones that I bought her the first time I ever took her out. A little memory," I shrugged with a grin.

Griffin groaned loudly, slowly trailing behind us.

"Griffin, I am this close to knocking you upside your head if you keep rushing," Jacey threatened, grabbing his ear and pulling him along.

"Ow, ow! Okay, I got the memo."

I ran a hand down my face, blowing out a frustrated breath and kept walking. The two kept bickering behind me, and they weren't helping with the stress I was currently feeling right now.
