"Now, which one do we take out first?"
The hand that held my arms tightened and I winced, shifting in the position I was forced into. Harley thrashed beside me, swearing at them every time they shoved her back down with force.
For once in my life, I didn't have a plan. I didn't have a random idea to get us out of this. I was as stuck as them, and the bounds on my wrists further proved that fact.
"Clyde's on his way back here. Guess he'll handle them."
He finally released my arms and I almost fell forward with a grunt before sitting up with my legs crossed. I looked over at Harley then moved to scoot towards her.
"Hey! No moving," the guy yelled out, aiming at me.
"I'm just scooting towards my best friend, calm your tits," I scoffed, leaning against Harley.
"Isn't this just the highlight of our night, huh?" Harley chuckled, resting her head on my shoulder.
I chuckled along with her then sighed, leaning a bit closer to whisper.
"Hey, Harley... do you remember that one assignment we had in Barcelona? And we were tied up just like this?"
Looking over at her, I hoped she'd catch on. She looked back at me, eyebrows furrowed before her eyes widened. I slowly nodded, grinning.
Time for that entrance.
Harley glanced over at the guys guarding us then shifted a bit, reaching towards her waistband. She tapped it, earning a quick beep and eyes snapping over to us.
"Oh no," she muttered when they began to stalk over to us with guns cocked.
The windows shattered and we fell back, guarding ourselves to the best of our ability. Mason managed to move over to us and got to work on the ties on my wrists.
"Ow! Careful, Mason."
I winced, rubbing my wrists when they finally fell loose.
"Sorry, sweetheart," he chuckled, rubbing his own wrists when I undid his ties.
Gunshots came flooding in from out the window and bullets ricocheted off the walls. I pulled Harley up and pushed her behind a wall, yanking off the ties. She yelped in pain, glaring at me once the ties fell to the ground. Mason pulled me to him and stayed against the wall, waiting for the sounds to cease.
They finally did and footsteps hit the ground, making us all share looks before peeking past the wall. I released a breath of relief, bringing my hands to my thighs.
"Noah... thank god."
Noah looked over at me with a wide grin, blowing off the tip of his gun.
"You idiot, you scared us!" Harley yelled out, bringing her hand to her forehead. "Never letting you make an entrance ever again."
"Oh, come on! That was a cool entrance, right?"
"It was," Mason chuckled, shrugging when Harley glared at him.
"Where's Clyde?" Noah asked, walking over to us.
"I don't know. He vanished, supposed to be on his way back here," I answered, glancing around. "This place is huge, and I don't doubt that there's more people waiting to kill us."
"And we only have so much ammo before we're out completely," Mason added.
A phone began to ring loudly, echoing throughout the halls. With furrowed brows, I looked at Mason. He did the same.
