I ran a hand through my hair, my fingers threading and getting tied into my locks of hair in upset ruffles.

On my screen we're several messages severely both angry and perturbed.

My finger tapped on each of the names and my eyes scanned each of the words imprinted on the screen. Texts from my mother, worried and agitated, while she frantically demanded my whereabouts. Etsuko had done almost the exact same though her messages were packed with stressed jokes — she clearly didn't know what to say without the knowledge of where I was and no response for over 24 hours, my mother most likely texted her too. Alarm weaves into each word they phrased and sent and I had nothing to say back.

The best I could come up with had me heaving out a breath in irritation. 'Hey, I know I haven't texted you in over 24 hours but I just want to let you know, I'm okay. And in a hospital.'

I fell back against the bed and covered my face with my hands. I should be expecting endless conversations on responsibility and get relentlessly told off about this. I swallowed down my nerves and pressed the call button right beside my mothers name, it was only two rings before she picked up.

"Where the hell are you?" Her bitter voice made my stomach drop, a sudden anxiousness washing over me as I cleared my throat for an answer. "I'm in the..." I trailed off trying to puzzle my words back into place. "Hospital... I blacked out." I could here a soft gasp on the other line and she instantly began to speak again. "What? What happened? You were supposed to go straight home!"

I felt a lump sting at the "I can't remember most of it." I mumbled out hearing a displeased huff. "What can you remember?" I couldn't tell if that was meant to insult me or not, but I continued to recap her on the events. "There was a shatter of glass, at the school, and then everything went dark." I looked down with a dry mouth, I knew she was angry — I'm all she has and as her daughter in most important to her. "I was taken to a hospital in Tokyo — I don't know much more about my whereabouts, I woke up pretty recently..." I added cautiously, my voice wavering a little.

I heard a groan on the other end, clear unhappiness and drainage in the woman's tone. "Send me your location." She practically demanded in a strict and exasperated tone that told more than her words. "Yes ma'am." I pulled the phone away from ear and began doing what she asked with easy compliance — I never liked to be yelled at, it always made me feel painfully guilty and almost just as upset as the person aggravated. "Couldn't they have brought you to my hospital — it's way closer."

"I don't know why they brought me here." I whispered bringing the phone closer to my face. I looked around the room once more, the loneliness of the room felt both unsettling but comfortable. "You could've been kidnapped." She breathed in a piqued suspire. "Well — " I cut myself off not having a response I myself would deem valid. I could tell she was frustrated and infuriated with me in an overprotective way, I didn't want to say anything wrong. "I don't totally doubt that could've happened... but I really wasn't awake during — whatever happened."

"God, (Y/N)," She began with a heavy exhale. "I know, I believe you — I was just so damn worried. The hospital could've checked your records — you have your student ID on you, they'd at the every least know your name." I nodded even though she couldn't see me, but quickly spoke up to affirm her words. "Maybe they didn't know that..."

"I don't know how they wouldn't — I'm on my way." I could hear a few sounds in the background, each reminding me of the things at home — the door opening, a few steps to the car in the driveway then the open and shut of the car door. "You're lucky I didn't send the police searching for you, yet... I still notified a few people about your disappearance so I can't say the same for them."
