Gardens of the Red Keep

105 AC (six months after Aemma's death)

"Daemon stole an egg?" seventeen year old Alicent asked, aghast.

"Yes." Rhaenyra confirmed.

"Well, lets hope Otto can do something." Laena sighed. She had become a great member of their group.

"Shit is going to go down. If something doesn't happen, Daemon and Otto will get into a battle. With Caraxes, Daemon has the advantage." the Pearl of the Sea said.

Laela had gotten her father's political mind and her mother's intelligence and cunning. But she still had her old traits as Ophelia Potter.

"Laela. Can you do something for me." Rhaenyra asked.

"Oh no." Alicent whispered in mock horror. The Red Keep had never quite gotten the pink paint off after the Pink Paint Incident, the brain child of Rhaenyra and Laela's minds put together.

Dragonstone Castle, Dragonstone Island

105 AC

Daemon kept his sword pointed at Otto before he heard something.

He turned his head and then he heard it again—the small shriek of a she dragon. A dragon was flying under the clouds to Dragonstone.

A louder call echoed, and Otto, Harrold, and Criston along with the others turned to the noise. They all startled back when Silverwing flew up form the clouds, letting out another loud roar.

Daemon kept his eye on Silverwing. The mother of Caraxes was larger than her son, and he saw the saddle on her back.

Laela turned slightly as Silverwing flew to circle back to Dragonstone. She kept a firm grip as Silverwing circled once again.

Land. she ordered.

Got it. Silverwing answered, landing behind Otto's group, balancing on the narrow walkway.

Laela refused to look away from Daemon's stare, sliding off Silverwing and walking over to Otto's group. The men stepped, back saluting.

"What are you doing here, Lady Velaryon?" the Hand of the King hissed.

"Preventing bloodshed." Laela said. "Princess Rhaenyra sent me to retrieve the egg."

"Ser Criston, please escort Lady Laela to Silverwing." Otto said.

Laela side stepped the Cole Knight but the group froze at Silverwing's growl. "Be careful of Silverwing, my lords. She's rather protective of me."

The Velaryon scion calmly walked over to Daemon. "The Princess of Dragonstone and the King demand you hand over the egg." she said in High Valyrian.

"Will House Velaryon be attending my wedding?" Daemon drawled.

The rider of Silverwing gave him an unimpressed look. "Your lover underwent procedures to ensure she can't get pregnant."

Daemon blinked. How did the light violet eyed Velaryon Lady know that?

"Hand over the egg, and no one has to die. Rhaenyra is the only one standing in the way of your throne—will you kill your eight year old niece?" Laela challenged.

The Rogue Prince shifted. His cousins's daughter was very... interesting.

"No. I am many things–but kinslaying is not one of them." Daemon said simply. He handed her the egg and strode back into the castle, his men following.

"Rhaenyra says to get off her castle!" Laela yelled and Daemon flashed the middle finger over his shoulder.

Huffing with a hint of a smile, Laela strode back over to the group. Otto was staring at her, jaw dropped.

"Problem solved, my lords, my Lord Hand." she said with a triumphant smirk.

"Thank you, Lady Laela." Harrold said. "No one died today because of your actions."

"Just doing my duty to the realm." Laela shrugged.

Keeping a firm grip on the egg, she headed back to Silverwing.  She could hear the men calling her 'the Silver Lady' behind her and she mentally scowled.

It was bad enough her Velaryon kin were calling her the Pearl of the Sea. It was just an empty title, like the Girl Who Lived.

The white-gold haired maiden mounted the Good Queen's dragon, and took off for King's Landing.

That is today's chapter. I hope you have all enjoyed it!
