Alicent gave birth to a son, Prince Aegon Targaryen, in 107 AC. Princess Helaena Targaryen followed in 109 AC, and the newborn Prince Aemond in 110 AC.
Laela returned to the Red Keep, helping Rhaenyra find supporters.
House Baratheon backed Rhaenyra with her betrothal to Laenor, and Rhaenyra offered that one of her daughters could marry one of Borros's sons.
And then Daemon, Corlys, and Laenor returned from the Stepstones, victorious.
The Dragonpit, King's Landing
110 AC
"Rhaenyra." Daemon greeted his niece.
"Uncle." Rhaenyra nodded. "It is good to see you alive and healthy."
"As it is you, niece. How is Laela?"
Rhaenyra muffled a smile. Rhea Royce had died in 105 AC, thrown from her horse, freeing Daemon to be betrothed to Laela.
They would be married this year.
"She has attracted many suitors, though she has yet to show any interest in one of them." Rhaenyra smiled slyly.
Daemon stiffened up. "Then I must remind them who she is betrothed to. Have a lovely day, niece."
Rhaenyra waited before giggling as she saw Daemon stride away to locate his betrothed.
