Wartent, the Greens Camp, Outskirts of the Blackwood Vale

131 AC

"How many men do they have?" Aemond inquired.

"Out scouts confirmed more then two thousand." Criston said. "You and Vhagar should be able to deal with them, then we cut down the survivors."

"One problem: they have Silverwing, Vermithor, and Caraxes." Lord Lyam Butterwell said.

"Vhagar is the largest dragon alive." Aemond said dismissively.

Lyam held his tongue. "Of course my lord. I will command the archers to aim for the enemy dragons."

"Good. We have a war to win." Aemond said shortly. Daeron had defected to the Blacks on word of their spies, so with Sunfyre injured and Helaena also on the Blacks side, Vhagar was the only dragon left.

Besides, surely one of the dragons would be focusing on his army, so out of three dragons, only two would be fighting him and Vhagar.

He left the tent and walked too where Vhagar was nesting. The Queen of All Dragons eyes snapped open and she turned her head to him.

"Hey girl. We have a war to win." he murmured, stroking her snout. The mount of Visenya Targaryen, who had aided in the Conquest of Westeros, snorted and leaned into his touch.

Aemond could do this.

Right?

That is today's chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it.
