Hall of Nine, High Tide

120 AC

"What has happened here!?!" Daemon roared as he entered the Hall of Nine, his wife at his side when he saw his son.

Laela hissed when she saw Aemond without an eye, stitches covering it as Mellos treated him. Aelyx on the other hand, had a broken nose, a busted lip, and two black eyes as Gerardys treated him.

Aelyx, Jacaerys, Aethan, Aemond, Baelor, and Alyssia all began talking over one another.

"Silence!" Viserys barked. "One at a time."

"He stole Vhagar! Vhagar is my mother's dragon!" Jacaerys spat.

"Vhagar is mine now. She was open for the taking." Aemond sneered at the Heir of Driftmark.

"He was bashing Aelyx's face with a rock." Alyssia hissed, glaring at her cousin. "Even when Aelyx backed off!"

"And so Aelyx slashed my face and–"

"Took out your eye." Alicent finished, horrified. "My king, I demand justice!"

"This is coming from the women who began to seduce the king not even a day before his wife was dead." the White Dragon scoffed but she got in front of Aelyx.

Alicent glared. "You do not know everything, Lady Velaryon."

"Nee Velaryon, Alicent." Daemon said softly. "She is my wife and a Targaryen now. And you threaten my son!"

"I want one of his eyes in return!" the Hightower Queen demanded.

Daemon stepped in front of his wife and son. Aelyx shakily got to his feet, ready to run.

"Try and I'll take out your eye as well." Daemon threatened.

"Do not let your tempter guide your judgement, Alicent." Viserys said. He turned around to leave.

"If the King will not seek justice, the Queen will." Alicent said. "Ser Criston, bring me the eye of Aelyx Targaryen."

Criston faltered under the multiple sets of purple eyes, and Velaryon guards, Vaemond, Daemon, and Laenor going for their swords. Corlys was also tense, waiting to give word to his guards to protect his oldest grandchild.

"I swore to be your protecter, my Queen." the Cole Knight said weakly. The tensions in the room didn't diffuse the slightest.

"This matter." Viserys all but growled as he went back to his wife. "Is finished. Do you understand?"

"Thank you, brother." the Rogue Prince said.

The last rider of Balerion turned around to leave and a tense silence filled the room again.

Aelyx pressed against his mother as Daemon smoothly walked over to Alyssia, who was holding Baelor's hand.

"Mother I'm sorry." Aelyx said in High Valyrian.

"You protected yourself but you went to far, Aelyx." the Silver Lady told her son. She suddenly heard shouts and spun around to see Alicent coming at her and Aelyx with a dagger.

Laela grabbed Alicent's arms, hissing as the dagger sliced her skin. The room erupted into shouts and screams as Daemon rushed over.

"They see you as you are, now."  the Pearl of the Sea spat, glaring into her old friends eyes. "A daughter of the second son who climbed higher than you should've. And the next time you threaten my family, is the last thing you ever do."

Alicent felt her eyes go wide as Laela's eyes glowed and she was suddenly pushed back with strength—strength Laela didn't have.

She stumbled back but Ser Criston quickly steadied her.

"ENOUGH!" the king roared. "EVERYONE OUT!"

Grabbing his children and wife, Daemon stalked out of the room, radiating if someone does something, someone will die here.

That is today's chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it.
