The Red Keep, King's Landing
131 AC to 134 AC
Aegon was located and captured. He was then executed swiftly in a grand ceremony, and rewards and punishments were dealt out.
Jaehaerys was granted Oldtown as his seat, with the titles Prince of Oldtown and Lord of the Hightower. Helaena would serve as his regent until he came of age at sixteen.
The inheritance laws were changed that the firstborn child, despite the gender, would be the heir of the Iron Throne.
In 131 AC, Shaera gave birth to a daughter, Daenora Targaryen. She served with Shaera as Mistress of Whispers while Aelyx ran the Gold Cloaks.
Aemon and Laura were wed that year, and in 132 AC Princess Naerys Targaryen was born. She was swiftly betrothed to Maelor to unite the bloodlines of Prince Aegon the Pretender and Queen Rhaenyra, and the two would wed once Naerys would turn sixteen.
Aemma and Daeron were also married in 131 AC, and in 132 AC they welcomed their son Vaelor. The castle Summerhall was commissioned in the Dornish Marches, and they would be given Summerhall as their seat, founding House Targaryen of Summerhall.
The third wedding of 131 AC was Baelor and Alyssia's wedding, and in 132 AC, the identical twins Elaena and Shaena were born. They were given the Stepstones to rule as House Targaryen of the Stepstones, with Bloodstone as their seat. The couple would co rule the Stepstones, as Princess and Prince of the Stepstones, Warden and Wardness of the Narrow Sea, and Lord and Lady of Bloodstone.
In 132 AC, Corlys suffered a stroke and died. Jacaerys became Lord of the Tides and Master of Driftmark, marrying Lady Isabelle Celtigar. Their daughter, Laena Velaryon, was born nine months later.
To secure more political alliances, Rhaena was arranged to marry Jason Lannister's son by his first wife Elena Mallister, Henry Lannister. The Heir of Casterly Rock had become acquaintances with Rhaena during court functions, and Laela had seen visions of them happily married.
In 132 AC, the two were wed and in 133 Lady Elena Lannister was born. House Lannister had changed their inheritance laws to match House Targaryen's.
Aelyx and Shaera also had another daughter: Princess Visenya Targaryen.
Rhaenys died that year as well of a heart attack. The royal family were saddened to see her go and Meleys made her nest on the Dragonmont.
Daena and Baela were unwed maidens, and could have their pick of marriage. Aliandra Martell's son and heir, sixteen year old Prince Simon Martell, was considered a candidate for Daena while Jeyne Arryn's cousin and heir, Theodore Arryn, was considered a husband for Baela.
Once more, the Silver Lady's visions confirmed the happy marriages of Baela and Daena to Simon and Theodore respectively. Daemon and she were saddened that there children, who just yesterday were small and running around Dragonstone and High Tide, were scattered, but they were comforted by the fact they could visit them.
Eventually the marriages went through. Theodore was a very calm and mild mannered young man which to everyone's surprise let him get along well with Baela.
Daena and Simon also got along well. It was agreed that one of Daena and Simon's descendants would marry one of Naerys and Maelor's children to bind Dorne to the Iron Throne.
Two double weddings were hosted at King's Landing in 133 AC. It also marked the birth of Aemma and Daeron's second child, Prince Daemion Targaryen.
In 133 AC Daena gave birth to Allyria Nymeros Martell, while three months later Lady Alysanne Arryn was born.
In 134 AC Laela and Daemon got four more grandchildren.
Aelyx and Shaera had another daughter, Princess Rhaenera Targaryen, named in honor of the Queen Who Never Was.
Alyssia and Baelor had a son, Jaenys Targaryen that year.
Rhaena gave birth to Lord Logan Lannister in 134 AC.
Baela gave birth to another daughter, Rhaelle Targaryen.
That wasn't all, as Daena gave birth to Princess Nymella Martell and Laura gave birth to a son, Prince Aerion Targaryen. The boy would behind his sister in the terms of the succession laws now.
Laela and Daemon had ten grandchildren. They had always wanted a big family, and now they had excuses to get out of the capital.
That is today's chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it.
