1 week had passed by and I had stopped wearing my sling. I was helping lexi out with some baby lessons and birthing classes. I decided that for the time being I would focus on myself but I did have a small date tonight. Lexi hooked me up with one of her guy friends who said he was interested in me.

I met him and I thought he was cute but I'm never going to really go for him.

Me and Lexi were roaming around a dress store to find something for me to wear tonight when I saw lazlos next door neighbor Lisa. She seemed to be very happy.

"Lexi look! That's her." I whisper to Lexi and her attention turns to where I was looking.

"The neighbor? Huh she's not that pretty." Lexi shrugs and I laugh a bit. Lisa looks my way and I try to duck away from it but she sees me and makes her way towards me.

"Uh oh she's headed your way." Lexi warns me and I straighten myself up.

"Hey nova! Funny seeing you here...I just wanted to let you know that I hope there's no hard feelings about anything I said to you before...I was just mad because I had a crush on Lazlo but ya know...everything all fell into place..I hope that we won't be awkward around each other now." She says as she looks at the dresses in front of me.

"What do you mean by everything fell into place?" I ask as I look at her with an eyebrow raised. She stops looking at the dresses and makes eye contact with me and smiles.

"You know....now that me and Lazlo are starting to go on dates...this is our first date and I didn't want you to have any hate towards me." She said and lexis mouth hung open behind me.

I clenched my first but smiled as best I could, "oh! Don't worry about that I'm actually going on a date tonight too! Tell Lazlo I said hi!" I said as she finally found a dress on the rack and grabbed it. She nodded before walking past me to go pay for her dress.

"Damn he moved on fast." Lexi said with shock traced all over her face. I was shocked too and maybe a bit angry but I brushed t off and shrugged.

"Eh. I knew it was bound to happen I just wasn't expecting it to be her." I continued to look for dresses and Lexi could tell something was up with me but she didn't want to pry at me as I looked happy in the moment.

Me and Lexi were getting me ready to go out. I had found a beautiful blue dress and some black heels to go with it. Lexi stood in front of me doing my makeup. I told her that I needed my makeup to be light yet sexy, maybe a bit of eyeliner to make me pot out.

I sat there with my eyes closed as I heard my phone ringing. I couldn't open my eyes to see who it was so I simply ignored it.

"Lazlo." Lexi stated and I knew that she was talking about who called me.

"Ignore it." I said and she simply shrugged before going back to work on my makeup. As much as I would've loved to answer that call I broke up with him for a reason and I can't allow myself to go back right now.

Lexi was proud of me for being willing to let go of him and ignore any type of contact from him. As Lexi started to finish my makeup I only received more calls followed up by messages. I couldn't understand why he was texting and calling. It couldn't possibly be jealousy because I have a date tonight when he has a date too.

"Alright! I'm done! Listen if I didn't have a man and was knocked up by him...I'd hit." She laughs a bit and I hit her on the arm playfully before laughing as well.

"I'm just saying any man should feel like a king to hit that." Lexi shrugs and i blush at her bold compliment. I stood up and walked in front of the mirror that was closest to me.

In front of me I saw a girl who was sexy and bold. A girl who deserved the most of what she wanted. I felt like the most gorgeous girl in the world with my look.

"Thank you so much Lexi!" I smiled at her and she pulled me in for a hug. Lexi was living her dream right now and she felt that I should be doing the same for myself.

"Of course. I don't care how much shit you deal with just know I'll always be there understand?" Lexi looks me in my eyes and I smile at her.

I hear a honk outside and realize that my date had pulled in my driveway. I smiled at Lexi and pulled her in for another embrace. I planted a kiss on her cheek and she blushed lightly.

"Alright...he safe with this guy..I love you." Lexi says as I pace around the room looking for my wallet and keys. I grabbed those things including my phone and gave Lexi one last wave before walking out of my room.

I stood at the front door taking some deep breaths as I prepared to go on a date that wasn't with one of the lake men for the first time in a long time.

I opened the front door and when I did I saw a Handsome brunette man holding open the passenger door of his car. I closed the front door and smiled to myself as I turned back around to face the man and walked up to him.

"Hi." I greeted him with a smile and he analyzed me before looking back at my face as smiling back.

"Hello gorgeous." He teased and I got in the car. Once I sat down he closed the passenger door and got in on the drivers side. Before the date had been set up me and him had been talking a bit so we'd know something about each other.

"You look handsome tonight jace." I said as he began to back out of the driveway. I look at him and he looks over at me before winking and looking straight ahead as he was about to start driving.

Jace and I were sitting down at a table and laughing as I got to know him more. Jace was a kind soul and he was hardworking. I had learned that he had a dream to own a small business like his parents once did.

Jace had also wanted to learn more about me so I started to tell him funny stories in order for him to learn more about my life.

"Oh yeah and she found the picture on my phone.." I giggled a bit and Jace started laugh as we were talking about a funny experience I had in high school.

I liked that we shared the same humor and overall had beautiful chemistry throughout the night. As me and Jace were eating and conversation I noticed a familiar dress fly by me.

I looked up to see lisas face as she walking by in the dress she had bought earlier that day. Behind her was none other than a clearly uninterested Lazlo. When Lazlo saw me his eyes lit up.

Him and Lisa had a table reserved right behind mines.  I saw him staring at me for a minute but immediately shook it off as I turned my attention back to jace.

"Right?" Jaces sentence had ended and I realized that I hadn't heard a word he said. Jace could see right through me and he asked with a slight look of concern, "you ok?".

I simply smiled and took a sip of wine before answering, "I'm ok I just zoned out for a minute....had a lot on my mind but you have all of my attention." I said as Started to eat again while listening to his story.

I didn't know what was going to happen next but I knew that I needed to find a way out as soon as possible.
