Parts of this chapter may seem a little familiar if you have read "Left behind" as this is a original fiction with original characters using some of my original plot from that story. There are some extra details in this version though and some big changes in the chapters to come <3
Also please remember to check trigger warnings if you haven't already before reading this chapter.

Airne had barely slept. What little sleep she had managed to catch was marred by nightmares that woke her quickly. The night seemed to drag on, and then the day was no better.
Jacob had not believed her when she told him about what the Dragon blooded did to their women. He had just stood looking at her like she was some kind of simpleton before asking her if she needed anything else before he left.
She should have asked for a book or something.
She should have asked for food.
There was nothing to do in the dungeon and her stomach was growling from not having anything to eat in the last two days. She searched for some kind of a way out but the walls were made of stone and the door was magically locked with a nice little ward that gave her hand a good shock when she tried to pick and pry it open.
If she had her powers she could have blasted through it, ward or no ward.
She glanced down at the ring for the millionth time since Cadimus had shoved it on her finger.
She wanted to hit him, force him to take the damn band off her finger and strip him of to show him just what it felt like to be powerless.
The silence of the dungeon and the lack of anything at all to do had her going loopy by noon, which was when she heard footsteps.
"Jacob?" she stood moving closer to the door.
The steps came closer, the footfall far too heavy for Jacob or Cadimus.
Her stomach knotted with apprehension and she stepped back further into the cellar warily.
Grimma came into view.
"Hello pretty one," he said smiling and letting himself into the cellar with a quick flick of his Hand.
Airne retreated further back.
"You aren't supposed to touch me..." Airne, backed against the support beam behind her. "Cadimus said-"
"Cadimus isn't here now," Grimma eyed her up and down and licked his lips.
"But...no. He'll know...you shouldn't." She was supposed to stay calm. If she had her powers she would be, but they were gone and she was trapped and...terrified.
Don't let him see. She raised her chin.
"Abeloth wouldn't want it."
Grimma laughed the sound crawled over Airne's skin and she shivered.
"Abeloth doesn't give a shit what happens to a Pluman like you."
No...
Airne shook her head.
This couldn't be happening. Not to her.
Grimma lunged for her Airne dodged, driven by fear and pure survival instinct. She flat palmed his nose with her hand showing it up as hard as she could.
"You fucking bitch!" he yelled as she wrenched herself away from his grasp. He clamored after her. He tried to catch her and she dodged kicking a piece of debris at him which nailed him across the cheek drawing blood.
