Eddie's POV:
Y/N had gone up to her room hours ago and still has yet to come back down. Mrs. Henderson has come home to a house full of boys, but she doesn't seem to mind the chaos. She calls for some pizza to be delivered and then asks for Dustin and Mike to help her set the table while Will gets set the task of getting everyone drinks.
"Eddie, dear," she calls and I turn. "Would you mind going to get Y/N? Her room is the second down the hall on the right." I nod and get up, ignoring the smirk on Dustin's face as I move down the hall. I don't know what he is planning, but it can't be good.
I make it to Y/N's room and knock and wait. There is no answer and my eyebrows furrow. I knock again and lean in. I don't hear any movement on the other side of the door. I look back towards the living room, unsure what to do. I reach down and shimmy the doorknob. It's unlocked. I turn it and push the door open slightly, not sticking my head in, just in case she is not decent.
"Y/N," I call loudly and again and I am met with silence. Stealing myself, I push the door completely open and step inside. Her room is covered in band posters, nearly floor to ceiling. I almost think that it's wallpaper before I notice small spaces between each image, the only clue that they are actually posters. She has shelves covered in vinyls and I marvel for a moment at the vast amount. I stay frozen in the doorway just staring at how cool her room is, that I momentarily forget why I came in here. My eyes dart to her bed and I see Y/N curled up on top of her blankets fast asleep. I move inside and close her door softly behind me so the loud noises from the living room do not startle her. I look down at her for a moment, struck by how peaceful she looks. Her face completely relaxed and her hair fanned out around her shoulders. Her shirt is slightly lifted, revealing her belly button and I see a belly button piercing that I hadn't noticed the other day when she showed me her tattoo. I gulp once, dragging my eyes away from her smooth skin and back towards her face. I debate going out and just telling her mom she is asleep, but I wonder if she is hungry. I am not sure if she ate lunch.
I lean down and shake her shoulders gently, trying not to scare her.
"Y/N," I murmur softly, but her breathing remains even and her eyes stay closed.
I try to get a little more forceful. I grip her shoulders more tightly and shake her again. Her eyes shoot open and she jerks forward, trying to sit up but she smacks into me in the process. Her forehead collides with my nose and I fall back on her floor, holding my face with a yelp. Her hand comes up to her face and she holds herself up with her free hand, clearly starled.
"What the hell," she yells, looking down at me. "What are you doing?"
"Your mom told me to come get you." I say, my eyes watering. My nose stings and I think it's running. I sniffle slightly. "You were asleep. I tried to be gentle, but you wouldn't get up. Goddamn it why do you have such a hard head?"
I pull my hands away from my nose and there is blood all over my palms. Great. Y/N looks down at me and pales slightly. She slides off of her bed and grabs a bandana from one of her drawers. She offers it to me and I hold it to my nose. I tilt my head back and sigh. Y/N sits on the floor next to me, concern coloring her face.
"I'm sorry," she whispers. I can see her rubbing her hands rhythmically up and down her thighs and I know she is anxious. I grab her hand to stop her and give it a squeeze.
"It's fine." I assure her. "But why are you so jumpy when you get up?" I think back to the time I woke her up in the classroom as well and how quickly she lurched away from me. A long silence stretched between us and I thought maybe she wouldn't answer. Maybe it was a really personal question. Maybe I shouldn't have asked. She takes a deep shaky breath and I straighten, looking at her.
