A week passed you didn't show up to school you had to recover from whatever that entire experience was. You didn't think anyone at school would mind anyways no one knew you. In the week you had off you retrieved your bike from the tracks and finally hung up your clothes. Otherwise it was pretty much a boring week. School was going to be out soon you just had to wait 5 months. 5 months and you'll finally be out of high school. You sit up and walk outside to Dustin "are you going to Mike's?" you ask him. Dustin gets on his bike "yeah" you run to the side of the house "wait up i'm coming with!" you shout out to him. You and Dustin bike to Mikes house praying Nancy was there. Making it you walk into the door Dustin immediately running to the basement. You walk up to Nancy's room knocking on her door "come in!" she yells out. You open the door "oh hey y/n" she smile at you putting down her magazine. "Hey..." you sheepishly walk to her bed sitting down "how are you holding up?" you ask her. She's silent for a second before speaking "well... i'm okay... this wasent the first time Will has had this happen." You look at her confused "what...?" your immediately intrigued. "People say he was lost in the woods but... he really was in the upside down..." she trails off "the upside down?" you question her tilting your head.

She bites the bottom of her lip you could tell she didn't want to tell you. "Nancy come on i was there when those gross aliens came through the window you can tell me" you plead. She lets out a sigh and begins to speak "the upside down is like our world but it's dark, cold, and slimy" you shutter remembering your dreams. "y/n?" she gets up "yeah?" you reply "will you be coming back to school?" she asks standing infront of you. "Yeah i will sorry... i was taking a break the entire thing with those... aliens it messed me up." She gives you a sympathetic look sitting next to you "don't worry it's over now" she says putting her hand on top yours. You let out a small laugh "good" you look up from the floor and smile at her. You and Nancy hang out for a while talking about that night and what happened with her friend Barb. You try to reassure her that it wasn't her fault but you could tell she still felt guilty. You look at the time the clock reading "5:00pm" you say goodbye to Nancy and go down to the front door. Opening it you see the blue camero sitting in the driveway music blasting. You walk up to the drivers side window noticing it was already rolled down. "Hey..." you smile at him as he looks over to you "I'll be picking you up for school at 6:30am tomorrow don't be late." he commands. "What about-?" you get cut off as Max gets in the passenger seat Billy looking at her and making a snide remark. He looks over at you "don't be late" his voice cuts thought the air like a knife. You nod stepping back watching him as he backs up and drives off.

The next morning you wake up and put on a baby blue dress thats ruffled and cut right above your knees, a white belt with a gold buckle, and white leg warmers. You go to put your hair up in a high ponytail with a gold scrunchie. You finish brushing your teeth and grab your bag rushing out to the front porch. You're just in time to see Billy's camero pull up. you walk up to the car grabbing the handle but it wouldn't budge. You tap on the window and point down to the lock. As he unlocks the car you get in and grab your seatbelt. You yawn as Billy says something already tuning it out. "Y/n!" he snaps at you as you jump slightly looking over to him. "What!?" you ask annoyed as he starts to pull out of your driveway "seriously what is it Billy?" you ask him again. He looks over at you "just making sure you're alive i called your name 3 times with no response" you roll your eyes and look out the window. He was just trying to get in your nerves for taking away the only thing he wanted... sex. Before you know it you're at school you open the door you feel a gust of wind hit your face. You take a deep breeath and walk over to Billy who was now leaning against the trunk of his car. "So why didnt we take Max...?" you hesitantly ask him "she can skate to school she has legs" he replies not bothering to even look at you. "Oh yea right...." you say leaning against the trunk with him. Billy takes out a cigarette and starts to smoke as you stand next to him. Its felt like you where his toy that was being controlled until he got what he wanted. Maybe if he could change you would begin to like him. Your thoughts get broken. "Kiss me" he says looking at you "what?!" your in shock. He grabs your hips and pulls you closer "Billy..." you grit your teeth together. He quickly kisses you obviously making sure someone saw because he didn't pull away. As soon as it begins it stops he pulls away put dosent let go of your hips. You felt safe in a way almost like he cared about you. But you had to keep in mind he did this to almost every girl. "We best get going" he smirks at you "alright" you mutter. He lets go of your hips and puts his arm around your shoulder. You stupidly felt safe before looking around seeing some girls looking at you giving you glares.

You knew that they were jealous so you put your head on his chest as you both walked to class. Getting into class you guys separated as you take your seat you grab out some paper and start to doodle. The bell rings and students begin to shuffle there way to their seats. Class goes on like usual the bell rings signaling passing period. You pack up and walk out to the gym. Billy seems to find you and follow you to the gym. "Why are you following me?" you turn around stopping in your tracks before you reach the gym door. "Why can't i? Im your boyfriend arent i?" he smirks. "Key word PRETEND" you say putting your hands on your hips. "Go to whatever class you have next and leave me alone" you snap at him turning around and walking into the gym. You go to the girls locker room looking for an open locker to put your bag in. After circling the entire locker room you give up. You change into the gym uniform and walk out hoping Billy was still there. Thankfully he was you walk up to him "Billy?" you blows smoke right in your direction "what" he says coldly. "Can i please put my bag in your car?" you ask as he looks at you almost with disgust. "Fine... but if you want your stuff back come and get it after my basketball practice" you scoff. "Are you serious??" he throws his cigarette on the ground "i am" you sigh and hand him your backpack. He walks off to his car as you walk back into the gym how could you even remotely like Billy he is such an ass. You finish gym and get changed back into your dress. You walk to the lunchroom with your gym clothes in hand. "Y/n!" someone says looking around seeing Steve. "Hey you're alive!" you smile at him as he puts his arm around your shoulder. "Yeah! so are you!" he squeezes your arm as you both walk into the lunchroom. You guys get lunch and sit down Steve explains what happened when he woke up. He also explained who the strange girl was that Dustin seemed so close to. The bell eventually rings parting ways with Steve you finish up the last classes of the day. After school you go down to the gym to watch billys basketball practice. You go to sit in the bleachers seeing see two girls walk up sitting next to you. "Hi! So you must be y/n?" one says twirling your hair in her hand. "Yeah! you are...?" you reply but no name was given "i wanna know something..." the other girl says. "What?" you ask "Are you and him... you know a thing?" the girl on your left asks. You laugh "I mean he's cute but no... why?" the two girls smile at each other "well that's great you can stay away from him then alright?" You don't reply but they don't wait for you anyways they walk off without another word. That was weird... sooner or later the practice ends and all the boys go to the locker rooms. People trail off but you stay until you see all the guys leave the locker room. You get up you take a deep breath hastily walking out to the camero. Billy comes out and walks over to you "new friends?" he asks walking up to you. "What...?" you ask confused "those girls you were talking to" he walks to the drivers side. "No... just girls asking about you" you open the passenger door getting in. "And...?" he looks over to you "and i didn't say anything before they told me to stay away from you" He laughs sending a shiver down your spine "you're on my schedule until i say so" he says starting the car. You made the mistake of getting close to him then pulling it away. You didn't reply you knew that already it was best to lie low and pray it was over soon.
