He reaches the end of your driveway you thank him get out of the car "same time tomorrow" he smirks at you. "Sure" you shut the door turning around seeing Dustin "what was that all about?" he asks. "Nothing he's just a friend" you say walking to the front door "no... that's Billy" he says following you. "ok? what's the big deal" you open the door walking into the house "he beat up Steve!" Dustin now in distress. "I know i'm in debt to him because he gave me a ride somewhere" you groan putting your bag down. Dustin doesn't look happy but he dosent respond so you grab your binder from your bag and start working on homework. Dinner was peaceful finally you don't have to worry about anything. The phone rings and Dustin immediately runs to get it a few second later you hear him yell your name "You dont need to yell im right here" you say getting up and going to the phone. You grab it from Dustin "Hello?" you hear Billy on the other side yelling something then coming back to the phone. "Why are you calling?" you ask "i want you to come over" he says you look back to the table and then speak in a whisper. "Are you serious?" he lets out a small laugh before speaking "dead serious." You roll your eyes "No..." you reply "well..." you hang up the phone before Billy could finish. You go back to the table and finish dinner dreading tomorrow. In the morning you streach getting out of bed and putting on a light blue jean skirt that went down above your knees. Walking to the mirror felt like going back to bed the pit in your stomach was growing. You go to your closet and grab a light pink open collared shirt, white belt, pink leg warmers, and pearl earrings. As you finish getting ready Dustin walks in "Billy's here for you..." he says looking at you with disgust. "In the driveway...?" you ask him as he walks away but no response. You groan and go out to the kitchen your mouth falling open to see Billy standing right next to your bag. "Who let you in!?" you shout walking up to him grabbing your bag from the floor. "Your brother" he says as you look over to see Dustin walk out the door. "He is my cousin NOT my brother" you tell him as he rolls his eyes. "Whatever let's go" he walks right past you and out the door as you follow behind him. Getting into the car you grab your seat belt and look out the window. The ride to school was nothing out of the ordinary from the usual silent ride.

Billy pulls up to the school as the girls in the court yard stare you down through the tinted windows. You get out of the car and slam the door shut getting quickly getting to the front door. You get to class and sit down placing your head on the desk praying this would end soon. You hear Steve's voice "y/n?" you look up to him standing over you. "Yeah what's up?" you rest your head on your palm "i said... want to eat lunch together" he lets out a laugh. You smile "yeah that sounds great" Steve takes a seat next to you "great i'll meet you outside the cafeteria." Classes end and lunch soon arrives you meet Steve at the cafeteria and walk out to the field. "So..." you let out a small laugh "so?" Steve tilts his head "how are you holding up?" you ask. Steve looks at you "well... considering we survived i would say pretty good" he smiles as you two sit at the end of the field. You nod "yeah it was just... a wild experience" Steve grabs your shoulder like he did at the lab. You felt the same butterflies in your stomach from that night as he pulls you in for a hug. For one he was sweeter than Billy not just that he protected you when you were in the graveyard. You lean into it hoping he maybe felt the same way you did the same warm feeling. It lasted for a while maybe longer than it should've but it all ended as soon as it state. He let go and went to his lunch he packed leaving you feeling better than before. "Steve...?" you ask leaning forward a little "yeah?" he looks up. You sigh not wanting to bring up the Billy situation to him you knew it wasn't right. "Never mind" you get up his hug gave you the confidence to confront Billy to end this madness. "I have to go find someone i'll see you later" you quickly wave bye to him and run down the field. It hasn't been long but it's been driving you insane Billy hasn't let up the teasing. You walk up to his car he isn't even there so you decide to search the gym. Of course he is right where you excepted doing warmups for basketball. "Billy!" you shout out to him walking to the middle of the court. "What..." he throws the basket ball toward you "when does this end?" The basket ball bounced towards you eventually rolling to your feet. "When does what end?" he laughs walking towards you "this stupid pretend game that's going on!" He bends down to grab the ball before you put your foot on it stopping him from picking it up. "Seriously give me an answer" you scowl as he stands up standing over you now. "It ends when i say so" he says through gritted teeth you feel scared now that hug isn't doing so much now. "NO!" you yell he steps back putting his arms up surrendering "fine..." a smile slowly comes across his face. You knew that look and you could tell it wasn't a good one. "Just hold up the end of your deal" he smirks quickly kicking the ball from under your foot making you stumble. Regaining your footing you stand up straight "fine" you flash him a quick smile before walking back to the door. "I'll pick you up!" he yells out to you as you open the door you ignoring him completely.
