"You will never know the struggle of putting anti-persperant deodorant in between your boobs,"
Ralph & Connor shot me a disgusted look. "Well all you guys have is like ball sweat & beards," I spoke, "and it's socially acceptable for you not to shave but it's not for us. We're not allowed to have hair on our bodies like a normal person does.
And the periods! Fuck don't get me started on that! I mean you get the cramps, the back aches, the bloatedness & everyone's favorite part, the bl-"
"OKAY SHUT UP WE GET IT!" Ralph screamed. "Well that's what you get for saying being a dude is hard. We're still fighting for an equal pay wage," I sighed as I sunk back into my pillow.
We had finished all of our programmes for the day & were chilling in our room. Ralph had brought up how life was unfair & that's when my inner feminist came out.
Moments later, there was a knock on the door, "Um Guys, we're ordering pizza. What do you want?" Lexie asked. The three of us voted for her to buy the spiciest pizza they had. We knew we could finish it.
We continued conversing once Lexie left. "So how's Demi?" Connor asked. "Oh uh..I don't know. I don't have my phone so I don't know," I awkwardly shrugged.
"Do you miss her?" "Of course I do! She's like a sister to me!" "What about your other sisters?" He asked.
"Look, truth be told, I take Demi over my sisters any day. Why? Because they bullied me. I was bullied for 13 years by my family and those in the school I went to," I sighed.
"Don't mind me asking but does the school you went to know that you're here?" Ralph asked. "It's none of their business now," I muttered. "What, why?"
"I dropped out," I grinned. "What? Does your family kn-" he stopped, remembering that I didn't have a family. Not like everyone else in this treatment centre.
"Why'd you drop out?" Connor asked. "Well I was 13 years old & I was the laughing stock of the school because I was that girl who was too perky when she arrived. Apparently people couldn't handle perky. It's actually a really long story, I'd rather not talk about it," I sniffed.
"So, Connor. We don't know much about you," I tried changing the subject, "Tell us about your life,"
"Oh um, what do you wanna know?" He rubbed his shoulder. "Everything," Ralph sat up. "Oh. Okay," he took in a deep breath.
" Well um, my story isn't really something that's unique. I mean, I have a family, y'know my moms & my little brother-" "Moms?" Ralph interrupted. "Yes. They're legally married by the way. Anyway, I just-I don't know. I was bullied for being overweight & it really hurt so I started working out. I didn't like starve or anything. No offense," he turned to look at me. I nodded to allow him to proceed.
"Well I took good care of myself but I still didn't feel good enough. I mean, I had cheerleaders willing to leave their quarterback boyfriends for me but that wasn't enough for me. I still felt like this was-"
"You couldn't live up the pressure of looking like a Ken doll? " I asked. "I just felt like whatever I did was never enough. Then I started developing thoughts about how I was practically worthless & that nothing I ever did was good enough. That I was never good enough & the rest is history," he sighed.

"C'mon Buddy, Fetch!" I threw the ball & watched Buddy run after it. Literally the cutest thing to see.
I looked around my hotel room to see that it was pretty empty. It was just me & Buddy which was pretty boring at times.
I called up my sisters but both of them were busy. I sat on the floor cross-legged & watched Buddy crawl into my lap, tired.
I sighed & slouched. I was all alone. "Hey, do you mind if I drop by the arena & check it out before the sound check?" I called my manager. "Oh uh, sure but you need security to escort you," she replied.
"Of course I do," I sighed as I hung up. I lied my back on the floor with my leg still in cross-legged position. I closed my eyes & covered my face with my hands.
I needed a friend so bad. Someone whom I can share a laugh with. I don't think Buddy's capable of that.
I sat up & reached for Buddy's leach, "C'mon boy, we're going to the arena,"
