Glittering, I saw thee
Magnificent in emerald aglow
A god among the heavens
Liberated upon the winds

Wisest of serpents
Skin finer than the fruits of the earth
Ruler of the skies
I saw thee cloud adorned

Terrifying you soared
Your breath burned like the sun
A banner of your power displayed
In awe of thee I cowered

You lighted upon the earth
It shook as I did
Even the grass bowed before thee
In reverence of a king

Unknown to me, I was seen
My breath betrayed me to thee
Though malevolent you were not
And did not strike me down

Instead you slept in my field
My wheat unworthy of your weight
And freely I gave you what I had
Though little it seemed before you

But your voice was my reward
Kindly you were
And to my astonishment; grateful
And spoke with me long

In awe I am of thee
Even years after your meeting
I still look up and wish
One day to repay thy bounty
