I am the sea, battered by storm
I am the boat that floats on the waves
Whipped around tween two rocky shores
With only the hope that safe I will stay

The winds of change relentlessly howl at me
Urging me to jump strait into the foam
Tethered to nothing, I am lost at sea
Hoping the breeze will bring me home

The standing lighthouse beckons bright
Warning of danger and showing the way
Shining a lantern throughout the night
To show the safe path beyond the cay

Fasten the clips and batten the hatches
We are in for a bumpy ride
Braving the reefs and all of its catches
We go into the fray; with our hope we side

A set back is no cause for alarm
Help me to fix it by lending a hand
For we are both unscathed and unharmed,
And I am ready to start out again
