Prologue:
"HI, Yumi!" Masayang saad ni Kelly habang palapit sa 'kin.
"H-Hello..." mahina ko namang tugon.
"Ano kaba, 'wag ka nang mahiya," sabi niya ulit sabay pakawala ng malakas na tapik sa likod ko na muntikan pa 'kong masubsob.
Nagulat ako nang biglang may ukmakbay sa 'kin. "Yeah, she's right. We're friends. Wala nang hiya-hiya dapat," sabi sa akin ni Brylle, also my friend but unlike Kelly, he's a boy.
Napatango naman ako sa sinabi niya, dahil may point na man siya, eh.
Personally speaking, I like the aura of these two. For the reason that their aura can blend with mine without turning it black.
Don't get me wrong though, I don't have special powers or anything. I can just feel it, I guess...
Unfortunately, these two belongs to a circle, a popular circle inside of our university, the TREVIANS.
The Trevians is composed of 17 people that know each other since childhood. Well, that's what I heard, since I don't really ask these two about them being a Trevian. Also... I don't know why they call themselves as TREVIANS.
Maybe... because of the name of our university? Because the name of our university is University of Trevelia. Nevermind.
Dinala lang ako ng mga paa ko kung saan patutungo ang dalawang 'to. Ngunit nang makita ko na papunta kami sa canteen ay agad akong umalis sa pagkaka-akbay ni Brylle para tumakbo.
Pero masyadong mabilis ang kamay nito at nakalabit 'yung bag ko bago pa 'ko nakatakbo. "Relax, Yumi. They are not going eat you," mahinahon nitong saad sa 'kin.
Alam niya kaseng tatakasan ko silang dalawa ni Kelly pag pupunta na sila sa kapwa nila Trevians. Ewan ko ba, ayaw ko kaseng makisalamuha sa iba nilang kaibigan. Hindi nga naman talaga nila ako kakainin but based on their eyes, they are disgusted by me.
I sighed. 'Di nalang ako kakain baka masusuka lang naman ako pagkatapos. Kadiri kase sila.
They are disgusted by me without knowing that I am disgusted by them too.
But if I don't go with Kelly and Brylle, I will be lonely...
At saka, argh... iniisip ko palang ang mangyayari na pagtitinginan nila ako tapos, tapos.... 'di naman ako makakakain kase parang tatawanan nila ako... arghh ayaw ko talagang sumama. Gusto ko nalang maging kangkong. Kaya...
Tinanggal ko sa ang mga braso ko sa pagkakasukbit sa bag ko at mabilis na hinakbot ang bag ko sa kamay ni Brylle bago tumakbo ng mabilis.
Pasensya na, Brylle. Hindi ako kumain ng breakfast at saka ayaw ko talaga jan sa mga kaibigan niyo ni Kelly.
"Yumi!" I heard Kelly and Brylle calling me.
Actually, kaibigan ko na 'yang si Brylle since childhood but he's a social butterfly... well, back then? Parang wala na kase siyang energy ngayon, eh. Hindi na rin siya masyadong dumadalo sa parties unless if it's the one that his parents or my parents hosted, and of course if it is also hosted by the people of his turf, the Trevians.
As I said, Brylle was a social butterfly. He likes to attend parties and talk to other people creating a bond, creating our friendship too even we're not alike. So since we were a child, his family often visits our house but I'm scared of people. That's why I always locked myself in my room.
Until one evening... I saw him peeking at my door, which I thought it was a ghost.
"Sino ka?!" Taranta kong sigaw sa pinto dahil may nakikita narinig akong ingay.
